Well the same here my iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black was supposed to be delivered here to be me in KY today and now its stuck in Korea on a delay... I'm disappointed but I called the UPS and they informed me that I should still receive it 9/23 or 9/26. At least that's better than the original date of 10/4.

Here is my shipping information. Same as everyone else. Spoke to UPS this morning. They claim too many packages and delays at customs. Apple says UPS can't seem to ship stuff and they are working on trying to get the packages moving.

Just another way for Apple to delay your iPhone delivery and not get them there too quick. They want the stock to still appear to be limited and create hype.

I just talked to Apple....they are getting a ton of call volume. Supposedly they were supposed to ship from China to Alaska. The stop in Korea should not have happened and they are working with UPS to figure out what they are doing. The Apple guy didn't seem optimistic that I would get my phone tomorrow. He also said he couldn't do anything for shipping upgrades to get Saturday delivery.

I've seen some weird stuff with UPS... I've had items go to Chicago, St Louis, to Kansas and back to St Louis again before getting to me.

Nothing like this, but it may be a customs issue. Importing stuff can sometimes be a nightmare.

The wait is unbearable. I already fired off an email to tcook@apple.com I get delays happen. But UPS is not operating normally or at efficiency. For scheduled delivery dates to be changed now twice an explanation would be useful.

Damn, well that really sucks.

i had the same problem. 2x it bounced between china and Amsterdam, and then UPS 5x between Amsterdam and some other city before it was delivered. I called them more than 10 x. bunch of idiots working there.

Will be interesting to see how this sorts out. Mine was originally scheduled for today, and then that changed to tomorrow - but now, it's showing a Lunar Delivery. First iPhone on the moon!

Thanks, UPS!

Oh my god the horror.....

To be fair, some of these shipments may show that the item is expected to arrive at someone's home, and since they require a signature it's annoying if they plan around it and then it changes. It happened to a friend of mine just this week. She moved things around to accommodate a delivery that was then updated to indicate that it was just leaving China, and now, days later, there's still no ETA, but it could be arriving as early as tomorrow (with no clear notice, but coming to the end of the delivery window). Very odd issue with UPS.

my iPhone 7 plus is another one stuck in Korea, It was suppose to deliver today then tomorrow now no schedule at all. I'm suprised a company the size of UPS can't get it together and quickly come up to a solution to deliver on time or at lease close to the original date.

How the hell does one accidentally send a plane to Korea instead of Alaska!?

I get that Apple can't do anything. They've done their job. All we can do is cross our nuts and hope UPS figures out what the hell is going on. Is somebody over there trying to steal a plane full of iPhones?

Same deal. My 7 Plus jet black was in china, then scanned in Korea, then china again. The delivery date originally said today, then changed to tomorrow, then changed to "information unavailable."

Update on UPS tracking site:
  • Incheon, KR
  • 09/23/2016 4:25 A.M.
  • A mechanical failure has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible.

I emailed them and asked what the h... is going on, here is their reply.

Dear Evan,

Thank you for taking the time to email us. I understand your concern. Unfortunately, we do not have a revised delivery date at this time. I recommend to continue tracking your package online for updates. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Monica H.

I own a logistics business and if i had to guess I would say something must have happened to the UPS plane. Probably the reason the tracking sights mechanical failure as the reason for delay. I can't see any other way it would end up in Korea. Usually goods coming into the US goes straight from China to the UPS main hub in TN. FedEx i know goes through Alaska. But a company so big i would have to assume they have plans in place to handle this kind of issue.

You ordered two days late, stop bitching

My iPhone got stuck in China, was sent to Alaska, sent back to China, and is now in Japan. I called Apple and they noted I am one of several who has called about this issue. I placed my order on September 11th. Original shipping estimate said the 27th to the 29th. This was soon changed to September 19th, and then 20th. Once it was delayed, it said shipping date unknown. Apple said they would look into it and call me back.

An increasing number of customers who ordered the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus have noticed irregular movement on their shipments, as confirmed by multiple tipsters who have contacted us. The peculiar UPS tracking information has also been documented by several Twitter and Reddit users.

MacRumors reader Daniel G., for example, has seemingly seen his iPhone 7 Plus order move between Shanghai, China and Anchorage, Alaska, only to end up back in China. The shipment even made a brief stop in Osaka, Japan, before heading to Louisville, Kentucky en route to Long Island City in Queens.Other MacRumors readers said likewise in discussion topics titled "My iPhone is on a travel adventure" and "Waiting for UPS."

Reddit user AlphaAnger, too, shared a nearly identical scenario:Twitter user Minton, who shared the UPS tracking information pictured above, has seen his iPhone order travel from Zhengzhou, China to Incheon, South Korea to Louisville, Kentucky, at which point it was seemingly sent back to Hong Kong. The entire movement took place within a span of just three days.
Minton is not alone, as several Twitter users have noticed similarly irregular movement on their iPhone orders this week.
In some cases, shipments have moved between the U.S. and Asia in only a few hours, which is unrealistic even when accounting for time zone differences. UPS has allegedly told some customers the irregular movement is related to paperwork, but weather and mechanical issues could also be involved.

Whatever the underlying reason may be, the issue appears to be slowing down iPhone deliveries for at least some customers in the United States. Some customers on Twitter have complained that their new iPhone is "stuck in Korea," while others have vented their frustrations towards UPS's customer service account.
