Well, China bans Google services, YouTube, Facebook... after all
Those services are not technically banned. Services that comply with Chinese internet security and censorship laws are allowed to operate. For example, a lot of Microsoft and Apple services are allowed, as are some Google ones like maps. Google and Facebook were both operating normally in the mid-2000s until they decided that they would not comply with data requests from Chinese law enforcement. There is a reason Google and Facebook were trying to create a walled Chinese version of their services a couple if years ago before the public backlash.

The US has invited Chinese competition into our marketplace and we have empty factories and towns dying. They have raped and pillaged the areas we have invited them in - you really want to see that happen to our tech industry as well? China does not play by the rules. If this were a French company, German company, whatever - I would say this is insane, locking out foreign competition. But China has never played by the rules, ever, and have locked US competition out of their economy. How does inviting them benefit the US? Please, enlighten me.
„raped the areas we invited them in“

Do you even know what seriously brain dead dumb **** you write? Please, enlighten me how someone can be so stupid and believe all propaganda.

Same thing, just another puppet. Free Meng Wanzhou.

Free Meng from one of her multi-million dollar homes in Vancouver while she awaits extradition. She knows how to wear the tracking ankle bracelet with her designer clothing.

Also, Google/Facebook etc are banned in China because they don't follow local laws. Google tried to go back in with Dragonfly but canned it after protests back home. Obviously censorship is bad. However it is a case of Google/Facebook choosing not to operate there because of the values that are dictated to them rather than them being banned just because they are American social media.

If you are really looking for a quid pro quo the US should formalize a law on what American values for the internet are, and dictate it to Chinese or whoever wants to operate in the US.
Chinese companies already did that for the West. TikTok is separated and sandboxed from its Chinese equivalent app Douyin. If you have an account on Douyin, you will not see anything from users on TikTok, and the reverse is true. Any Chinese policies and regulations, including content regulations, only apply to Douyin, and not to TikTok, and the reverse is true. The operation unit and the managers are separate and TikTok is actually headed by many White people. So, the ban is really a sham.

That is plain wrong. Chinese companies in America operate under US law. American companies in China operate under Chinese law. As it should be.

There is no such thing as a global American law where you set the rules for everyone else.
Basically this administration wants "my way or highway" 😂

White people? Go back to your developer, bot. Your AI needs work.

Are you implying that a person's skin color has anything to do with their allegiance?

The US is supposed to believe in the free market and democracy (freedom). China (gov't anyway) doesn't believe in these things.

So you don't care about apps controlled by the ChiComs keeping tabs on you and then sending that data back to government agencies to tabulate and create a profile about you?

They still have 300 nukes, the US has 6000.

Again: do you see any Chinese gunboats off your coast? Because the Chinese see yours off theirs and have done so for the past 100 years.
People will say something about "American interest in the 'region'", aka China's backyard, and China is "challenging the status quo", aka the absolute American dominance surrounding China.

Basically "go back to making shirts and panties, not robots".

Oh this is going to get interesting. Just so I know if you're a Chinese agent or not, just preface your post with the answer to this:

What happened in Beijing, 4th of June 1989?

If you refuse to answer or try to deflect, I'll know you're a CCP shill.
Thank you.

Some people did something?

I'm sure the residency requirements in China aren't too stringent. You should try.

This is ridiculous and sounds like the voice of an evil dictatorship and lunatic regime. I will certainly fight to keep my WeChat app to keep in touch with my Chinese friends and contacts. Visiting China this app is almost a necessity.

When you're in China next, let loose in public with how the Chinese government is an evil dictatorship and lunatic regime. Write back on your findings.

Of course, it does.

One of the US officials has said that China is the first-ever great power peer competitor in American history that is not Caucasian-majority. Then it was quickly erased in US news after some major backlash.

Then the "US official" who stated that obviously does not know much about U.S. history.

They have a point system, basically, even if you marry a Chinese girl and live in China for 25 years if you are not the best of the best in your industry vertical, you will never get even permanent residency in China, let alone citizenship.

Bill Gates can probably get PR in China, but almost all current MS employees, for example, would not qualify regardless of what they do.

China is a civilization state, you basically most be Chinese to be a Chinese citizen. It's the same with Japan, but slightly more relaxed than China. Japan needs people, but they don't just want any people, they want ethnic Japanese people.

The US is an immigration state, most of us cannot understand civilization states.

It's true tho.

Like all Europeans are White, even Russians are kinda White...

Cuba, Iran, etc., are not "great powers" and they are not "peer" competitors.

Basically, is it possible for Cuba to wipe out America? No, you'd be joking. Is it possible for China or the Soviet Union to potentially wipe out the US? Yes, very likely (with great cost). The latter are called great power peer competitors.

Yep, your AI is completely broken. A person's skin color, national origin, or language tells you NOTHING about their morality, beliefs, political leanings, or allegiance.

Yes, that's the hope, works only on paper.

Can a person, born in China or even Canada, then flew back to the US the next day and lived in the US ever since, be elected as the president of the US?

Oh, no?

I thought... national origin...

I have family members who are the same color as me, were born in the same country, and speak the same language and their core beliefs and principles couldn't be any different from my own.

You need to get out more.
