Since I’m doing in-store pickup on Friday with trade-in, I forgot if we can turn our phones later or do we have to do it on the day of? I think they give you x amount of days to come back to turn your phone in right?

Why the new phones will be on IOS 26. It will make you update to the same version of the new phone to finish setting it up

If the old phone has a newer iOS build than the new phone, it will update the new phone first before migrating.

Caveat, the update doesn't always install properly. With some updates, the new phone would just be perpetually stuck updating.

my current plan is to restore an encrypted backup on my MBP to the new phone. I’ll update a full backup before heading to the Apple Store to pick up the new one.

When i plug the new phone into the Mac and view it in the Finder it checks for an update, and then installs it, then i’ll choose the backup to restore.

You have 14 days to turn it in following pickup.

I need my old phone following migration to verify MFAs, so I'm gonna just go back to the store once I'm sure it's all good.

to track we go to ups.com select tracking my reference number, put your order number minus the last 2 digits, enter destination country and zip code?

Via Mac/PC should be no issue.

It’s the phone-to-phone transfers that have occasional hiccups.

For those of us with 9/19 dates (I originally had the 9/25 glitch date lol) as of today, Monday afternoon I’ve yet to see any tracking on my UPS MYCHOICE and usually other years I see tracking by now.

Oddly AWU3 is not showing either which also has a 9/19 date.

Anyone else not showing even a tracking number yet?

I was charged on Saturday for the phone and the watch the day I preordered it (9/9)
No tracking info yet here, either. Status still shows Order in Progress with a launch day delivery date.

Just went on my UPS App. This was there. Really excited now!!! It’s the only thing I’ve ordered. No trade in. Yay!!

EDIT: No carrier.
