My 2 UPS watches coming have the order # as the reference.
Yup the whole number including the W.
It looks like the iPhones coming on launch day are already inside the USA. Either coming from Indiana or Tennessee. But for those that have a delivery in October(7-14) in my case, does that mean the iPhone is shipping from China or is it still coming from TN or IN.
No way to know. It’s clear they’ve changed logistics approaches this year. It’s anyone’s guess
I tried the full tracking number didn't work for me.
It doesn’t work for me for my 17 Pro. Take that to mean no shipping label has been created.
Easy if you have access to an Apple Store: test yourself after 9/19/25. Note that some Apple Stores have special hours for Friday 9/19. E.g. my local store in CA opens at 8 AM instead of at 10 AM.

Titanium - that's the delay reason.

I got the titanium also. Still somehow managed the 9/19 delivery.
Maybe mine will get bumped up like my 17 Air got bumped from 9.25 to 9.19....
Okay, so this is odd.
As I mentioned earlier, I checked UPS and saw a delivery coming to me, 1.7 pounds, from AI in Clayton, Indiana. The cosmic orange 17PM was the only thing I ordered from Apple, so I assumed this was it, however people are saying their phones are being reported as different weights, and not coming from Indiana.
I look at additional details of this shipment from UPS and I see two reference numbers, one I don't recognize as anything in particiular, and one that looks like an obvious web order number beginning with W. I check my Apple account and my only order, the 17PM, has a web order number that does not match UPS. I then try using the reference number from UPS with my email address from Apple's order lookup page and it says they don't match their records.
I'm a bit lost and confused!

My expectation (I will test on Friday) is that three cameras instead of two is a ton of difference for me.
I preordered a 17PM for October delivery but might modify the order in the store after I actually handle the damn things.
So as it stands,
Just basically just a little over three more days until Apple Christmas time.
Like everyone else it seems, order went from the 25th to the 19th.
I would love to have a little bit more tracking than just ‘ a label has been created’ , but I’m not worried about it because Apple has delivered each and every time for me.

I don’t use most of the features that a “pro“ user would use, but I am 60 years old, and my eyesight is not what it used to be.
Truth be told if they made the iPhone Air with the screen the size of the Pro Max I would’ve went for that!

The usages have changed since Jobs was alive. Today users are consuming and creating visual content all day long, so logically display sizes have increased.
I am more interested in how competent the cameras are real world. The alleged specs of how many x zoom at what MP are really of no interest to me. I suspect that I will like the iPM 17 cameras' real world performance.
I tried on the website just now (Monday 9/15) and was not allowed to specify store pickup (I tried several times, different stores). So I ordered a 17PM for delivery 10/7-10/14, planning to possibly modify the order after hands-on testing in-store 9/19. Note that some Apple Stores have special hours for Friday 9/19. I'm a night owl, and I picked 8:15 so I can be there, home and setting up by 8:45 hopefully (only a few blocks away!) I have friends Airs being delivered to me that day so will be working from home setting up mine and waiting for theirsI'm going to leisurely drive, then park and take a leisurely stroll to the Apple Store, my check-in time is 1:00pm-1:15pm ... no stress or anxiety for me
End of day pickup time would drive me nuts!
