This is my first time every doing in-store pickup.

For those going to the store Friday, have you seen any change from the Processing status? I guess it would make sense that there isn't much movement since it's not being shipped to us. Just curioius.....

It will flip from Processing to Ready For Pickup. Those of us doing ISPU don't get to track shipments.

I'm curious when the embargo on iPhone (and other iDevices) reviews is released, there will soon be a bunch of information to whet our appetites! With so many other things changing it seems likely it'll be earlier this year than before.
It lifted yesterday for the new AirPods and this morning for the watches. I think tomorrow will be for the phones.

People please be careful.......
I just got a call from "Verizon" about my (2) iPhone 17 Pros in orange.
The guy wanted to confirm the order and started asking questions......I asked him how I know if this is really Verizon and he repeated my name and what I ordered.
After several minutes, when I pushed for more credentials he hung up!
I hit redial on the number.......someone answered (which was local area code) and it was an actual Verizon store......BUT they said they never call customers about any online orders and was concerned.
The scammers spoofed the Verizon phone number also.

The kicker is I never ordered my (2) iPhones from Verizon, I ordered them from Apple!
How he knew what I had ordered and my name is a mystery other than getting inside info from Apple or this website forum!
I do have Verizon as a carrier though.....

Be careful on information you provide no matter how legit it might sound!
I hope there isn't some broader security breech that we aren't aware of!

I ordered mine through tmobile, got charged, just says waiting for ups to pickup.

My watch says preparing to ship but no UPS info, so i don’t know.

Im tempted to return my pro max 17 order, I was upgrading from a 15 Pro Max, not sure if it was worth the upgrade or not.

Apple Watch and iPhones are unavailable for store pickups. Can I go to the store on Saturday and pick them to buy on the spot there? Do you know how it worked in previous years?

I'll be in San Francisco. I arrive on Saturday and I'll be there for the whole week.
You can walk in at any store, it totally depends upon available stock as to whether you can buy anything.

I know my Apple Store will have one more phone in stock than expected when I leave as I bought two from which to take only one home. They also receive apparently unknown amounts of new stock throughout the day that become available for ordering or just walking in to pick up.

Based on past experience, the best opportunity for walk-in is launch day, with day after occasionally, but pretty tough in the days after that.

Just picked up from Apple Store. I definitely loved it. I haven't seen a nice case like this from Apple in a while. They didn't have nice cases at all for the 16PRO. I'm picking up the phone on Saturday then I will check out the other colors bc I feel I will want more than one to pair with my orange phone 😆
How does the case feel; also does it add a lot bulk?

I think I’d be resetting my Verizon password if I were you. If for no other reason than a sense of security after this incident.

edit: sorry, i clicked on the wrong quote. But I'm going to reset my carrier's password even though it is not Verizon!

It's so weird not having tracking this close to release day. My phone is "preparing to ship" and I have release day delivery for my order, still nothing in UPS. I'm sure everything is fine, but if they're doing 2nd day air, they have to ship by tomorrow afternoon/evening to make here in the PNW by Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.
In the same boat. Hope tracking comes up for both of us soon.

My local store has them available for Friday pickup (blue 256gb pro).

My order got messed up so I am picking up my watch but the phone will be delivered.

It’s not worth it to buy one then return the one that gets delivered a few hours later

My silicon case has arrived. I think this terracotta color will look nice with my orange phone and strap.

If you are doing an ISPU, be careful as there are scammers out there that will impersonate you, acquire the QR pickup code, and fake an ID.

Has happened many times to people that are picking up in store.

This is one reason why many companies make you provide, for verification, the credit card/debit card that you used when you placed your order. Not saying that is necessarily 100% full proof either, but I think it can help cut down on the number of fraud cases.

How much thickness/bulk will it add to the edges of the phone? That's been by one reservation about the Techwoven until I see them in person.
I believe the same as the silicone/clear case. Holding both cases (the 16PRO clear and the new one), feels the same to me. Here's my 16Pro with both cases:
