Mine looks like it would have required a signature. UPS My Choice says "shipment release authorized" and gives me the option to cancel that. There have been years I didn't have My Choice though and I either printed out something from Apple and signed it for release (old school) or I hand wrote my tracking number and signed that instead. I think it's really up to your driver's discretion as well. If it helps any, I don't think estimated delivery time has never moved up for me, but it has moved later in the day.
Can anyone on the upgrade program that is doing in-store pickup confirm whether they make you trade in your old phone on the spot or if you can return later to do it?
Its worth refreshing again as well, it was up 20 minute ago but I noticed on refreshing, there are more QTY of iPhone for pickup (today)
My 17 Pro Max in Orange will be delivered only in October. Could not wait to see it. Went to nearby store and saw all the new iPhones.

Mine was in store pickup so you should be getting an email regarding a box coming to ship the old one back in.
Just placed my order for in store pick up in LA. My pick up window is 2-2:15pm today, ordered the 17 Pro Max 256gb Silver. Was really easy!
I was going to preorder last week but needed some time to figure out which model I wanted. Luckily in store pick up on the morning of had all stock showing available!

Interesting, I don't recall seeing anything about a box during checkout but maybe I didn't look closely enough. Hopefully they will still let me bring it back later
So I am not sure if the package on the top missed a scan, last update on that one is that it arrived at a location 3 hours from here and did not move. Coincidentally , two of the other packages passed thru that location last night at about the same time.
Can anyone getting a UPS delivery, change to UPS access point ?

Mine still shows processing for in store pickup today at 8am. This is the first time I have not received an email or status change to pick up ready. It’s almost 35 minutes till 8am and still the status hasn’t changed 
Now the UPS is showing a delay due to a “sortation” error and is being routed to the correct destination. We’ll see how this pans out.

Even without being ready for pick up was able to pick up my phone. There is hope that it doesn’t matter what the app says.

Just cancelled my preorder (oct 6-13) delivery and was able to snag a 256gb orange PM for in store pickup today. Did not expect to see availability for in store pickups for new orders today!
My phone is in my hometown and delivery by 1:30pm. Hopefully this stays true, I’ll get my phone by the time I’m off work. Woooo!!!
