Apple has restricted delivery (shipper based restrictions).

UPS says "INELIGIBLE OPTIONS" for changes to delivery.

Can't have it held at UPS Access Points / UPS Stores like I used to.

Must be due to bad actors who have stolen devices and caused these restrictions.

Leave with a neighbor seems to be the only option ?

What are the chances of purchasing iPhone pro max directly in Apple Store by October 2nd. ? One of my friends will be in NJ until Oct 3rd and flying out of the states after that. Online shipping shows date of October 10 to 17 which will not work out. Just wondering whether going directly to the Apple Store and buying will work out as there seems to be quite a demand for the pro max at the moment.

Mine showed up at Stafford at 6:14 am and missed 2 scans. It’s now showing Processing at UPS Facility. Did your also missed departure from Houston and arrival to Stafford?

Nope, mine got all its scans. Just waiting for the out for delivery. But they have a horrible habit of not saying that until it's been out for a hot minute. It's going to my parents place because that's my business adress. So I'd like to know when I need to head over but we shall see.

Has to come all the way to Jackson, WY. They (Jackson) has already lost one of my Amazon packages. Was supposed to be delivered on the 16th now pushed back to the 22nd. I am nervous it won’t make to today.

It’s stated to be delivered between 9:45am and 11:45am.

I thought new iPhone day journey would be more fun with a road map. Here are a couple things I previously posted about moving to your new iPhone.

It appears the most important thing when using any backup from a previous iPhone is having your Apple Account password. If you don't know it but are logged into Apple device(s), depending upon your settings you can initiate a password reset. There are support documents to assist if you don’t have your password.

If you don't have space in iCloud for a full iCloud backup, Apple has provided temporary space for an iCloud backup to transfer to your new iPhone. There will be a "get ready for your new iPhone" under iPhone>Settings at some point, and it will offer the space there. When I used the iPhone Upgrade Program I had a “get ready for your new iPhone” in Settings, but I don’t see it yet this morning. Maybe it shows up when the new phone is turned on near the old phone.

I think the iCloud Restore started via Quick Start is probably the fastest and easiest method. And most people don't like transfers between devices as they lock you out of both devices until the process is complete. With iCloud Restore it will complete most of the transfer and then let you use the phone while it continues to download apps, email and messages, settings, and files.

One of my first steps after restoring to my new iPhone is to change my phone’s name in Settings>General>About

I did not find an article about pairing a new watch once you have the old watch paired with the new iPhone. As I recall I just started up the new watch next to the new iPhone and a notification on the iPhone asked if I wanted use the previous watch backup to set up the new watch.

Good luck and have fun out there!

So funny! Reminds me of UPS being 4 blocks away some years ago, but the path from there to my house led it through several dozen neighborhoods to the north and then to the east before FINALLY making it to my street! I did not like it when it drove away from my house!

edit: btw, I love your storytellers quote in your signature!

This is excellent info!

I ran out of iCloud space so I was wondering....
