Usually UPS comes within 1/2 block of my house, then heads to an entirely different neighborhood before coming back. But today they delivered my watch right away! It's all set up and ready to go when I get to pick up my phone tomorrow. I really hate waiting. But... there you go.

I was fully expecting my iPhone and watch to come between 6-7, UPS always comes to my neighborhood last, and to my surprise I got it at 1:30. In the end, as long as you get that phone today, everything will be all good.

Anyone's phone really warm upon delivery? like warmer than its box?

Do you live in a warm climate? My husband has an iPad delivered a few days ago when it was about 90 deg F here. The iPad felt noticeably warmer than the packaging after being in the truck all afternoon, and being aluminum vs cardboard.

Ah ok. Yea I use mine daily and it’s such a pain to get out my ID when needed. Maybe I just ditch my CC that I already have loaded in my Apple Pay

Yep. Later than usual, but I can see he’s in my general vicinity now. One year I didn’t get the phone until after 9 pm. Driver looked so tired.

Also just fyi I had to sign for my deliveries today. Think next year if I’m free I will do ISPU so I don’t have to worry about driver passing up my house a bunch of times.

I still have nothing. The last UPS scan was on Monday advising the label had been created. The Apple online store shows it shipped and would arrive today. UPS doesn’t seem to know where the phone is. The kind lady at Apple couldn’t really help only to say if it hasn’t arrived in 3 days I could call back and open a case and they’d investigate.View attachment 2553448

My neighborhood is between two high traffic highways so the next street over is used as a connector between the two. I have NEVER heard so many vehicles sound like delivery trucks. Come on UPS. It's the end of the day!!!

To make things worse, the iOS 26 install on my iPhone 16 Pro Max is buggy as heck. I can't get text messages from my bank to authenticate, I can't receive or make phone calls, etc.

there is no way to call a UPS Hub without a direct number, there is no way to get the direct number outside of one of the employees going it to you

When I was asking the UPS guy if he was sure it wasn’t on the truck, and he said no it definitely was not, I had this feeling that if I were smarter there were other things I should say or ask. Sounds like that’s one of them.

In any event, great tip.

I really enjoyed the in-store pickup and setup today: it was fun being around the crowd and their excitement. Getting an early pickup time is key. I left around 11:30 am, and the pickup line seemed to be moving much more slowly. I had an 8:45 am pickup, and I got there at 8:15 am, and they brought me right in with only about 6 people in front of me.

Normally if I was home, I would do ISPU but since I'm out of town for work and there is no Apple Store in the next few states I had to do delivery. It's my first time preordering a device. It was a little stressful but I would do it again.

UPS tends to deliver in the early evening where I am, and the UPS app shows a late window. So, I'm not expecting mine until 7pm or so. Of course, if I'm really unlucky, it'll get bumped to tomorrow.

Been waiting all day and very glad I did. UPS guy handed the package over and it was unglued along the bottom all the way. A whole range of emotions folks: weary, when I saw the state of the shipping box; opened it further and saw the iPhone box, felt relief; only for my heart to drop when I pulled it out and the iPhone box itself was empty. I hadn’t let the UPS guy go yet, so I just showed him both empty boxes, he said “I can’t believe it” and scanned the package to mark it as damaged and void the delivery. Called Apple and they will investigate which takes up to 2 days, and I’m on hold until then.

Fuxking great.

Edited to add: investigation still ongoing, will receive a refund when it is completed, have an order to pick up in store later today.

UPS gave an updated window of 3:30-5
Got the order 4:05, not our regular driver, Rang door bell, and had to sign.
Data Transfer (cable) in progress for a little over an hour.
Just finished, and rebooting

ME!!!! They were so unhelpful and just said “be excited for your phone in October!” Which I tried to explain why this is a problem but they cared NONE. I’m really unhappy with Apple

Had a chance to speak with an Apple rep. Didn’t get anywhere! Have to wait ! He said status should change to a different day soon! Not sure if it does !? 😕

it was 86 here today, I guess the cardboard had a chance to cool down a bit as the delivery person walked the frontward and handed it over
