It has been such a pleasure to spend this time with all of you again this year. It may not have reached 1000 pages, but it was still a great experience.
Did an ISPU for my 2TB Pro Max Cosmic Orange. Appointment was at 4 but got there at 3:30 and they took me in straight away. Was out of the store with my iPhone plus accessories in about 15 minutes (I didn’t setup in store). Did take it of the box in front of Apple employee to make sure no scratches or dust under camera lenses and everything was fine. There were about 20 people on a line to see if they could get one without a reservation. Overhead Apple employee say they were out of 256 GB phones but not sure what model. Also took a look at the Air while I was there and it is lovely but the camera is a deal breaker for me. Setting up my new phone now

Both mine and my wife's failed to transfer the esim over from our 16p's. Anyone else have this issue on Verizon? We had to do a whole verification thing. So time consuming.
No issues here on AT&T eSIM transfer. Was pretty quick.
I thought if your current phone wasn't working and was showing SOS, and your new iPhone was missing, that may have been an indication someone had booted/hijacked your new phone.
If that were the case, you would require some additional steps to protect your accounts and data, etc.
My recent phones have not come with new SIM for my current number, but back in the day i fired up a new phone to se the screen and the phone i was depending on until I set up the new one went SOS.
Glad to hear that's not the case!
Maybe do a hard reset if the current phone is not working, that is not normal, even for iOS 26.
My T-Mobile failed, but i remembered i had locked the SIM transfer thingie in the web site's security settings. I turned off the SIM block on my wife's as it was just getting ready to transfer and it worked. I unblocked mine and it worked. They are now again locked. My son get's my "old" 16PM this evening and I have unblocked that transfer before it became a question.
When mine didn't work, I remembered those early iPhones where we spend hours, if not days, trying to get ATT to make our iPhones "activated". That was quite unpleasant!
Finally got my phone down to the wire 6:41PM. Crazy but glad.
I'd file a police report.
That's a felony.
I had to do that to get satisfaction when mine disappeared at the UPS.
Apple wouldn't do anything (they said it's the responsibility of UPS).
UPS wouldn't do anything either.
arrived at 6:15 but have spent the last half hour doing the 26 update, watchOS 26.0.1 update and activating number on phone
Lol my "sortation" delay of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was an mis-scan, all packages accounted for and prepping to transfer and setup everything. Will hang around this evening in the thread and then I am off again. Will prep for next year to lament with @jphall not being able to pick up at UPS CCC lol.
I was able to get AC+ for $125.99 with student discount. I was surprised when the Apple employee asked if I’m a student or not (I am but I didn’t bring student ID with but they also didn’t ask for it).
Mine was, probably from sitting in the hot vehicle for hours and hours. It’s REALLY hot here in south Texas. I let mine cool off and installed the screen protector while waiting before I turned it on for the first time because the phone was so hot. Mine wasn’t delivered until 4:45 Central time.
It’s here! Getting it set up now. The orange color is beautiful! So coppery. As is typical, it looks so much nicer in person than in most videos I’ve seen.

I couldn’t leave it alone and called Apple and UPS again. UPS gave me the same story, but the second rep at Apple got a manager to look at it and assured me that UPS was in possession of my phone yesterday. However, they can’t do anything until the phone is missing until 9/25. This sucks.

Delivered about 30 minutes ago. UPS driver chuckled and said “Happy new iPhone day!” 😂 He then went on to say that about every 5th delivery was a new iPhone and magically everyone getting an iPhone was home and ready to accept the delivery. 💀

ETA: Forgot to mention: I am *not* a fan of the clear case I got with it. I’ll give it a try for a couple of days; but I'll likely return it.
