it clears cache, etc. is my understanding.I usually a on/off after a software update, what does a hard reset do that on/off doesn't?
i think it is like a safe mode reboot on the Mac. Any "corruption" is bypassed by having to reload everything rather than the shortcut of using cache already loaded.
I do know hard reset and safe mode reboots are part of every OS update I've done for the last 15 years at least. I recognized that it may be "voodoo" and not having anything to do with my never having an issue with OS updates, public release or betas, in all that time. But I do enjoy the ritual of it. lol
