I would’ve wanted a new one so I could open it myself.
Hey everyone!
Got an iPhone 17 Pro Max yesterday and quickly noticed that it would restart / reboot when the screen was locked. Noticed the issue as I would have to enter my password instead of using Face ID. Took it to the Apple Store this morning and swapped it for another phone (same model) but this one is experiencing the same issue. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The only apps I have installed are the Proton Suite (Pass and Authenticator) and Instagram. Any help would be appreciated!

When will Apple stop using UPS. Every time there is something. For my new Air, ordered at like 0801 the first day, it went from shipped, to delivering yesterday, to ending up like 2 states away last night, to delivering today, to just now delayed with no other infromation.
Talked to UPS and they won't do jack just pushed me over to Apple. I haven't been able to get a hold of Apple last night or all day today.
So, I have a $1100 charge without a phone and no one competent enough to deliver a box from one place to another.
Always UPS. They need to only use Fedex, I swear.

The iPhones did have an iOS update available, perhaps that would help as the shipped version was a month or so old.
Also, i usually do a hard reset after setting up a new phone, just one of my standard procedures when setting up or updating any of my devices.
fun! I love my new APP3! I was able to get a good seal tip fit, which I don't think ever really was good with my old APP2.
I went back to the Apple Store today, was helped by the same gentleman who got all my stuff for me in 10 minutes yesterday. It was busier in the store, but less of a line outside the store.
I got the Ultra 3 with the Titanium Milanese Black Loop yesterday. I didn't like it very much, but had to take back the entire watch and band package to buy, not trade in, a new one to get a different band. Trail Loop, which i had several years ago.
No iPad for me this year. But if a new Apple TV launches I will be seriously tempted.

I put the cameras on my 17PM to good use last night on my trip to the Omaha Rodeo, using the 2x,4x & 8x zooms to capture video at the other end of the arena, they looked much better than they would have if I had used my 15PM. I haven't yet had a chance to see what they looked like when viewed on a laptop yet but it was a challenging environment with Smoke, Dust, Bright lights and dark areas With quick movements all in the same shot so I look forward to seeing how they came out although I will admit I am not great at taking photos/videos so I'm sure some of the problem is user related.

It was busy at the Apple Store today. There was a long line of walk-ins, and a short line of people with preorders. I got there a few minutes early and I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
I am really loving the orange color... sometimes coppery, sometimes brighter, always pretty. I'm not even mad about the 2-tone look. I looked at the other colors while I was there, and I made the right choice.
I also held an Air, just to see. It's crazy thin and light. But the only-one-camera issue would be a deal breaker for me. I would regret that purchase almost immediately. But it is a very cool piece of tech.
Now I'm home and having a cup of coffee and a cookie while waiting for the update to load and everything to transfer over.
See you all next year! I'm going to keep up the good thoughts for everyone that's apparently stuck in the delivery quagmire.

I thought I might not like the two tone back based on some videos. But, in person it looks much better. The orange color is very pretty, indeed.
I went to Best Buy today to pick up an order, and stopped to look at the other colors as well as check out the Air, which I had considered buying. It is jewelry-level pretty, for sure. But, the camera limitation was the deciding factor for me, as well. So far, the camera system on the Pro looks great! I’m coming from a 13 Pro, so I really notice these updates.
And they only deliver iPhone orders on launch day overflow / missed deliveries because it is in the Apple Contract. It does not happen for normal Apple orders.

My Air in Sky Blue was ordered this morning and is supposed to be here Tuesday. It says "preparing to ship." Looking forward to experiencing this beauty.
That case looks nice! I wonder though the longevity of it however. I don't mind spending good money on cases if they last a while.
too early to tell of course, for me it's only a day and it's still brand new

I picked up my iPhone 17 Pro from a suburban Minneapolis Apple Store today and it was crazy busy. There were no phones available to buy in-store. If you weren’t there to pick up a pre-order you were SOL. It seemed way busier than last year when I picked up at the same store on launch day.
