Are you sure it’s your iPhone? They usually come from China.

I read somewhere that a large amount of Apple products were imported early to avoid the tariffs as much as possible. My watch has already shown up in UPS app, coming from Tennessee, I wonder if they were able to do that with phones also

I thought Trump’s tariffs didn’t apply to phones... that they were excluded. Could you please share the link to that article?

Nothing in UPS my choice yet. For 2 phones and an Apple Watch Ultra 3, all are “preparing to ship” I wonder if it’s because they’re already in the states. Typically in the past I’d see some data in China.

Not sure about that. Sooner or later initial stock runs out and the date will slip.
The 9/25 date was clearly a glitch on Apple’s end. They never provide a specific date unless it’s a release date, they always would provide a date range if you weren’t getting on release day I.e 9/24-10/1

Has nothing to do with stock, those who got a 9/25 date originally will end up getting their phone on 9/19.

I believe it was the Apple Q2 earnings call, comments made by Tim Cook. I don’t think they mentioned phones specifically, which is why I wondered if they were able to do that with phones. When we get our phone information we will be able to tell by manufacturer date

I see the label for my iPhone trade-in created in FedEx now. But nothing in UPS for me except my iPhone case at this point.

You are mistaken. When INITIAL inventory runs out, the date will slip. Period. Sooner or later people will get a later date than 9/19 due to supply.

They DO come from China or maybe India. Likely a case or something else from UPS. No matter what the poster’s phone or watch will not be delivered before 9/19. Shipment with iPhone and watches enter the US on a pallets and are under high security until a couple days before delivery when they are put into the delivery system.

Apple can also change it up and already have phones here in America. Still, no one will get one before 9/19 unless you are one in millons!

Might want to rethink your answer

That article says they plan to move by 2026

And this one says many of US bound models may come from India

Key quote from that article

Tim Cook has already revealed that nearly half the iPhones sold in the US are now made in India. And this year, for the first time, India-made iPhones are being shipped worldwide on day one, breaking away from the old pattern of trailing behind Chinese production.

I’m looking forward to seeing where mine comes from

Ordered 2 phones, delivery on 19th, processing status, They haven't charged me yet, is that normal?

They’ve pre-imported before. I remember getting “stuck” in those groups a few years back and being disappointed that I couldn’t participate in tracking fun because my phone was long since stateside. Lol

In 2017, my phone shipment originated in TN, FWIW.

I’m doing in store pickup with IUP. Waiting for the initial charge still of tax. I assume when it ships?

I am specifically talking about those who got 9/25 delivery date.

The 9/25 date wasn’t given because initial inventory ran out. It was given because of glitch on Apples side. You know how I know that? Because the majority of people who originally got 9/25 date have now been updated to 9/19. Apple didn’t magically find stock for those orders.

Have a great Sunday!

In many recent years, my phone didn't start moving and my card wasn't charged until Wednesday or Thursday. Still got it on Friday.

Don't panic, even if other people start getting their info. Apple is very good at this and can move quickly.

Now that orders are placed are you guys going to wait till the new phone shows up or upgrade to ios26 on Monday? To give myself more of a new experience I plan to wait till Friday to try out the new iOS

Considering the state iOS 26 is in. I’d wait. The battery life and overheating on my 16 PM is abysmal

Yes mine changed from 9/19 last night - definitely made my weekend!
