I would like to know as well. Found my tracking number for my case in FedEx, but nothing showing in UPS for phone.Has anyone that has ordered through Apple directly for delivery found their tracking number for their phone yet?

This is actually from the iPhone 4 launch in 2010. That was a year when preorders got completely screwed up (typical then) and I ended up with a “reservation “ instead. They had lines for reservations and walk-ins once we got into the mall, and ended up telling the walk-ins to give up and go home by about 10 am. View attachment 2549053
I’m still on processing and haven’t been charged, so haven’t started looking yet.Has anyone that has ordered through Apple directly for delivery found their tracking number for their phone yet?
lol I remember walking into Cincinnati's small Apple Store (it's been expanded at least 3 times since) in July of 2007 and walked out with my first iPhone with its massive 4GB of storage. It was the first time i bought a phone that was not from an ATT store. The Apple Store was virtually empty and looked so different than the first day line a few years later.Oh that brought back memories! I stood in line for a white 3G. (I stood in more lines than that. But I think that was the longest.) It was not my first iPhone. I had taken the day off, just in case. After several hours, an Apple employee came out and asked who was waiting for what color. I was the first who wanted white, and I got the very last one. It was so pretty! I remember going to a meeting the next day and placing it on the table... that was a real thing, you know, showing off your phone. One exec gently ran a finger over the curved back and said, "It's soooo sexy!" And it was!
But we're preordering and talking in forums from the comfort of wherever. Standing outside in the cold, heat, rain for a cell phone. It's not even free!!! I'm not judging, just genuinely curious. Maybe the 17P will lead me to the answers I seek. The same thing that has people preordering and talking in forums about it for over a week, while waiting. I always had a good time talking with others, made a few friends, and for me, it was fun. Would I do it again today? Probably not. I’m older and I’d rather chat from my couch at home. LOL
I think so, but there have always been people posting about their UK order, or US carrier order, when it was stated the thread was US Apple Store orders, and there were threads for all those other orders. Is this the first year that the Apple Store and the carrier pre-order threads for the US have been combined?
Very well said and my experience in 2007 mirrors yours. I stood in line and purchased or ordered a new iPhone every year since. That iPhone was so amazing to look at with its beautiful color screen and the really cool icons. "Huge screen" (3.5" diagonal) was how Steve described it in the January Keynote when he announced his "breakthrough device". It was so unlike my Siemens and Nokia bitmapped jaggy gray screen phones, with their extremely slow and limited cellular data connections.
All syncing was through iTunes on my Mac, and so little space though all only my largest music files were larger than 32kbps.
The iPhone was amazing to use and people loved seeing it as it was unlike any phone they'd ever seen. Everyone wanted to hold it to see how it responded to their touch.
At that time I had no idea that I'd be buying a new iPhone after that. I know that streak will end someday, but I'm still on this extraordinary journey as of next Friday when I walk into my local Apple Store with a reservation for my newest iPhone.
I only sent in one phone in all my years in iUP, as I recall. All the other years it moved to a family member or I sold it.But you don't get the trade in after 12 months to get a new phone, right, with the straight ACMI? I thought I saw you could use the AC for the IUP which would eliminate the new loan every year.
there's a carrier thread? lolMore action on this thread than the carrier one. Less people interacting then previous years also.
It’s the excitement of launch day — nothing beats that energy when you finally get your hands on the newest iPhone. What is it about the iPhone that had y'all waiting in line for hours?
Like Black Friday? I get itIt’s the excitement of launch day — nothing beats that energy when you finally get your hands on the newest iPhone.
It’s not just about the phone; it’s the tradition. Lining up is part of the experience for Apple fans.
It was a different time. People are a lot different typing anonymously behind a keyboard, than you’d meet in person. You just had to be there. Rain, cold, and heat doesn’t stop me from anything in life. I don’t think you’ll find your answers from the 17P. I’m just genuinely curious, why iPhone now, after all of these years on android? But we're preordering and talking in forums from the comfort of wherever. Why did people camp out for Star Wars Episode I?What is it about the iPhone that had y'all waiting in line for hours?
My first iPhone purchase was maybe 2 weeks after launch, my wife suggested I get one. I nearly fell off my chair.Very well said and my experience in 2007 mirrors yours. I stood in line and purchased or ordered a new iPhone every year since. It has been a fun ride.
I remember when Windows 95 launched. The hype around it would put any Apple hype to shame. Seriously. The news showed the crowds who lined up to buy it... you had to buy on CD back then and stock was limited. One guy who was interviewed said that he didn't even have a computer, but just "wanted to be part of the experience." I often wondered if he used it as a coaster. I waited through a release cycle or two because I know the ways of early software adoption. (Says the woman who is running beta software on all of her critical hardware. Because...)The same thing that has people preordering and talking in forums about it for over a week, while waiting. 9/19Did anyone order a Pro or Pro Max in Orange with 2tb of storage?
If so, curious of your shipping date?
Where in Texas? I’m in Fort Worth and I’ve tracked phones before.Any of you flight trackers have a phone heading to Texas? I need a buddy who speaks flight tracker language. I only speak UPS and FedEx. Lol

Trust me, I’m old enough to remember the Windows 95 launch. My first computer was a Commodore 64, I had bbs that I talked to people on, and went to computer club meetings in the 80’s. Those were the days lolI remember when Windows 95 launched. The hype around it would put any Apple hype to shame. Seriously.
