Good thing to look for this week is pix of these phones taken by anyone other than Apple. Just saw an orange pro & it's a lighter shade if orange.

I've got AppleCare One but I'm not intending to take advantage of it or waste my time getting replacement, so this is going to take some careful consideration.

I feel ya…

I would love to ditch the case for regular days… and just one when I feel like I need more protection… but so far I never was courageous enough…
Every year I think this will finally be the year I‘ll go naked… and then early report show easy the new one scratches or brakes and I‘lol end up putting the gorgeous phone is a case…
Of course I‘ll pay for apple care regardless… and never use it…
So maybe this year will finally be the year!
 
Is it only the iPhone 17 Pro that has the ability to take pictures in "landscape" without rotating the phone, or does that apply to the iPhone 17 as well?

On a side note, with a long time career in retail banking, I congratulate you on making sure your credit reports are frozen. If there was any one piece of advice I gave to every single customer of mine to help avoid fraud activity with someone using your stolen identity to get credit, it was to freeze your credit reports. Just be sure to keep your initial info (PIN numbers, passwords, passcodes, etc.) so you can unfreeze for a short term loan need.

I unfroze my credit, did the pre-order this morning for my blue Pro Max, and was immediately pre-approved. Thank you Apple for making the process so simple.

I joined the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program with my 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max last year in September.

I did “Get Ready” for my 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max via my iPhone Upgrade Program today, so I get pre-approved.

Any existing iPhone Upgrade Program user got denied on “Get Ready” intended for the iPhone 17 series today?
 
Does anyone know the usual timeline for when Apple Stores will have display units? I am due to upgrade this year and was just going to go Pro as I have the last two times but this year it's unappealing. The Air screen size and weight are attractive but I'm held back by the camera. So I want to see how the 17 feels versus the Air in person.

I don't love the new design, but I wouldn't say that they're ugly. It will probably grow on me. That new orange colour, however... To me at least, it's by far the least appealing colour I've ever seen on a pro iPhone. The dark blue looks good though.

Ok....I'm all set I have pre - pre ordered my Emperor Orange iPhone 17 Pro Max I'm going to try Apple One (not sure if I will keep) and I ordered an Otter Box Defender Pro XT Mag Safe Bundled with the Holster (free as it should be if you bundle it in the same cart) .....

Ps. not I have to make sure to push the button on Friday the 12th at 7am (CST). :)

They don’t put out display units until launch day, unfortunately.

I really want to install iOS 26 beta on my 16PM, but I fear that it will somehow mess up my preorder on Friday morning (delay me getting my order in, some kind of glitch happens, whatever). 😂
