Financing is only available this year through partnerships with phone carriers. If you are buying without a carrier contract, then it must be paid for in full.
dang! i liked the previous upgrade program, probably to shift more towards the apple card because i do see that as an option also

After a long hiatus since I haven’t upgraded last year, I’m back here again deciding which iPhone. I was taken back by the orange, and for some reason it appeals to me only because it’s different.

I think I’m going with the Orange Pro Max 512GB.

no, you can finance through Apple Card, as always. and, the Apple iPUP is prominently listed.

How either of those interact with trade-ins is anyones' guess

Not anymore. At the Apple Store when you select Apple Card monthly installments you must select one of four carriers. It doesn’t let you get passed the selection unless you pick one of the carriers. No reason for the Apple Card anymore.

I’m thinking of financing with Citizen One and paying off early. Am I able to get pre order ready with that option as I would iUP?

Oh, that's not new. Last year, people had luck using Apple Card and then contacting customer support to switch it to payments rather than single-pay. I didn't pay attention after launch if they ever enabled it at checkout, but it definitely wasn't there at launch, just like this year.

I know people don't understand photography very well so i want to explain that this iPhone does NOT have 8x.
Exactly like the main sensor never had 2X.

They are crops of the sensor. They are not in any way photographic modules. It's a fancy digital zoom and it will be no different (as a system) from zooming to 8x with the 16Pro.

BUT Apple is smart. So usually they do this when there's a jump in the sensor size. Because the sensor is bigger there are more details and for this reason the digital zoom has more details and people believe it when they see the new option in the focal lengths. But again, the 5x camera is better but it's still only a 5x camera.

It's important to understand the difference.
I have a 15 PM.

I do a lot of video (personal, not pro use or anything), a lot in slo mo as well.

Will the 17 PM be much better than what I currently have? It’s bothered me that the 15 PM doesn’t do 4k slo mo.

Hopefully there’s an actual for video and photos over the 16 PM even!

Upgrading from 15 Pro Max 512gb Titanium Black to 17 Pro Max 1tb Deep Blue. Glad to be back on the ride with y’all after taking a year off.

Does anyone know what time the iPhone Upgrade Program pre-pre orders open up? Usually you can get all your ducks in a row ahead of time before Friday morning. Can't remember if its normally today or tomorrow that opens up officially.

Excited to be back for another release! Love the look of the orange! Going with the iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB in Orange! Still not able to pre-preorder in the app but you can save some details.

AT&T seems to have some great trade in deals (if it’s true) on the Pro Models. Either a 13 or 13 Pro gets the 17 Pro Max down to $2.75/month.

On the Air models it strangely has some of the worst deals. Interesting.

I don’t know if anyone knows
I suspect they delayed it to let whatever "rush" of AW preorders will happen, happen, first
It’s ok, I’m still highly debating on wether to get the 17 pro or the air.

I’ve had pros for the longest time but the camera on the “air” feels like that one time we had to choose between the pro and pro max’s optical zooms, i think it was the 14 or 12 pros and that’s ok for me. I’m leaning towards the Pro but the air being a close 100 bucks off the price of the pro is swaying me extremely hard.

Since the tele cameras are back to parity and the regular 17 Pro battery has grown to match 16 Pro Max in usage time, I’m actually going down from 16 Pro Max to 17 Pro.

I’ve had the biggest iPhones every year except 14 Pro and I’m honestly pretty tired of the two-hand heavy bodies. Ready for something slightly more phone size than phablet. Heck, today’s 6.3 in screen is hardly any smaller than past Max screens. 11 Pro Max was 6.5in.

No black Pro Max is a dealbreaker for me personally, especially since I hate cases. Not a fan, personally, of the colors on the Pro lineup this year.

For the first time ever, I don't think I'm getting a Pro (unless I change my mind before Friday morning lol). That Air is really tempting me, it has the stuff I really want, and I can deal with the drawbacks coming from the 16 Pro Max.

And, of course, as always: Different strokes for different folks.
