You are only picking up your order.. you must activate on your own
You can activate in the store but a lot of people will be on their wifi so it'll probably be super slow. I've seen people try to back up their old phone in the store on launch day, crazy, takes hours.

Ordered through TMo’s app a few minutes before 7:00 am central! So I was really early.

Got a text just now saying “supply is very limited and no shipping estimate is currently available.”

When should I expect to see a shipment notification? Thursday (if it of course isn’t delayed). It also said signature is required, so I need to know if I need to take off work.

Someone mentioned if you use the UPS app to reroute to a local UPS store, that delays things a day, so it could me Monday before it arrives. I would rather have it release day Friday if possible.

Expected delivery date 9/19

Four hours after orders began and I can still walk in next Friday and pick up an Air, Pro or Pro Max in multiple stores here in L.A.

That 24 month financing via Apple Card makes you select a carrier to get the deal. Verizon wanted a $40 upgrade fee. Complete BS. I cancelled and changed it to pay in full. Verizon can suck it and not getting that fee. That is some new sneaky BS they are pulling this year between Apple/Carriers when financing 0% with Apple Card.

I just selected T-Mobile as the carrier no extra fees and works with any network, using it with my MVNO's Metro & Sky (UK)

Yeah, I’ve tried setting up my new phone in store, and it forced me to do another iCloud backup on the old phone before the setup would continue: the backup took sooo long.

It's funny to me how many people here think Sept 25 doesn't mean Sept 25.. shooooo, if anything it can get DELAYED under ordinary circumstances =)

I'm so looking forward to my downgrade! (i16P to iA)

Likewise, going from a 16p to an ordered iPhone Air! Esp after realizing that the iphone 17p is essentially the same weight as iphone 14 pro, which was widely considered a bit heavy with that stainless steel frame. I did local pickup as well seeing as how at 5:01A PST, all deliveries were listed for 9/25.

Anyone who secured a *launch day delivery* for an iPhone 17 Pro Max, please speak up now or forever hold your peace!
Only one's ive seen so far were the Brits (apple didn't screw up there) and people who hadn't done the get ready to pre order as normal orders showed launch day delivery when I checked again at 7:02 after my ISPU confirmed

It's too soon by next week it should be moving

It would make sense but it never takes 6 days for a package to get delivered even with ups ground
A few words to prepare you for next week's shipments. This is based on last decade of data points. It may be a bit different if phones are coming from India instead as we've not tracked those phones on launch day previously.

Apple will not report "Shipping" until the phone clears Customs in Louisville next Thursday, even though you can track its movements on UPS site and app by using tricks (UPS Choice, for example, or entering the correct number of digits from your phone number or order number) that show it actually leaving Asia on Monday.

Many people freak out when Apple hasn't said "Shipping" just days before it is supposed to be at your house. 99+% of phones will arrive on Friday if that is the date Apple says it will deliver. UPS can deliver on Friday if they ship it out of Asia on Thursday. Your phone will arrive on Friday whether UPS reports it leaving Asia on Monday or Thursday. It is just a matter of where it sits during the week- early shipments will sit in Louisville with no updates until Thursday and shipments that leave Asia on Thursday will sit in Asia during that time. Weather issues in your region may impact your delivery if they can't drive or fly it to your local UPS center.

You will not believe the number of pages next week of people thinking they won't get their phones, and on Friday evening almost everyone will have taken delivery.

It is nice to have folks with whom to commiserate and celebrate as the phones make their way to their new homes!

256GB Sky Blue iPhone Air ready for pick up first thing next Friday at 5th Avenue. I wonder if I'll get to meet Tim Cook, lol.

I've been with Verizon since the iPhone 5 and I've never paid an upgrade fee. After it posts to my account I contact them and firmly but politely ask them to waive the upgrade fee since I've been a longtime customer and pay my bill on time, and I've never been denied the request. YMMV of course.

I’m going to do that this year. Thanks for the advice!

App did not let me in until 8:04 AM this morning and it was very easy to check out since I did my pre-qualification, but even that early and my shipping date unfortunately did not get launch day for the first time since I've owned an iPhone. 😭

Expected delivery date is September 25.

I got a ProMax Deep Blue in 1TB.

Hey Citizens One, are you pulling down my credit? I don't need 3 approvals for 1 order. 🥲
Joking aside, they actually hit my Equifax for a hard pull this year, first time in the history of the upgrade program (I've been on it continually since the very first year).

I only got two approval emails though, so you're one email ahead. :)

Sure! Key thing is you have to wait for it to actually be charged on your bill. If you contact them in advance they won't be able to do anything for you from what they have told me. So you may have to float $40 at some point, but your next bill will be $40 less thanks to that credit.

I'm from NY, got a 9/19 delivery. Still processing though, where some are already reporting preparing to ship…
My wife’s blue 15 Pro that got the 9/19 is preparing to ship. My orange 15 Pro is processing. For what it’s worth, I completed the process for my wife’s phone first.
