Just received my dark brown. 36 days after ordering from Vaja. The "official" pictures that are on the first post of this thread must not be dark brown - mine is WAY darker brown than that. Disappointed that the color is so much darker than I thought, but it's still pretty nice. The microfiber is not as 'micro' as the inside of the Apple smart cover - definitely higher quality from Apple. The leather is just as good as my other Vaja cases: amazing. Unfortunately my wife took my iPad on a trip for the weekend so for now I only have the case with me, but I'll post photos when the iPad gets back.

The color in the first post is shitake (not brown) and I know it has been mistakingly called brown in many reviews. I ordered the shitake and today is day 37- no word. Did you get an email with a tracking number?

For those of you who received your Vaja Libretto, how's the quality of the micorfiber lining? Does it look and feel like felt like Apple's SmartCover lining, or is it a higher quality furniture grade microfiber? I like the leather lining option, but I am not crazy about the Vaja logo embossing.

Are you able to weigh it for me? Really interested in the case but concerned it may add extra bulk to the iPad.

I really take this case in consideration despite the price, but only if I can get it with inner leather like on that iPod 1 case photo.

I have right now the Sena Florence. Happy with the leather of that too, but the fiber inside is a dust magnet. I thought I wouldn't care about it getting dirty over time, but the problem is, the dust/dirt gets from cover to screen when closing it.

But getting a Vaja is all theory, from what I read I am not sure if I could really get them to make the inside leather as I want it and right now their site is defunct anyway.

The other options are Pielframa iMagnum (but why spending 90€ for the perfect leather + 60€ for the smartcover with less than perfect leather) and the saddleback, which unfortunately doesnt offer a stable typing position.

Any other suggestions (quality leather and at least 2 standing positions)? Edit: One more thing. I think my Sena or even the saddleback will probably fit for the next iPad. The Vaja with it's perfect fit pobably wont, so that is a "feature" that might rather speak against a purchase.

I'll be receiving mine from cases.com on Monday or Tuesday. I'll weigh with my postal scale and let you know.

The sensitivity of my scale may be way off... I don't have a kitchen scale, so I used a bag-weighing hanging scale instead, and it read 0.46 lbs, which is 209 grams.

EDIT: added more weight into the bag and got a difference of 0.58lbs (263 grams) which confirms that my scale is useless. But around half a pound appears to be the right number.

Early in the ordering process, I emailed them about the weight and if I remember right, they said 280 grams which would be about 10 ounces.

Just got a call from FEDEX with the tracking number- delivery by 10 AM tomorrow of my Vaja Libretto case- at last- exactly 40 days from ordering !

I have owned a ton of iPad cases and this is my number one. The microfiber is great and feels like leather/suede of some sort. Similar to what the Apple Smart Cover has. I actually prefer it to the embossed leather interior they offer for 30 bucks more.

Great, thanks for the info! I purchased the Vaja Libretto a couple of days ago after getting totally frustrated with the Yoobao case. I know that I am overly picky, but the Yoobao case just looks and feels cheap in person, and they can't seem to sort out the obvious issues with it.

I bought a black Vaja Libretto from Cases.com ($169, free shipping, no tax, no handy-craft 35 day delay since they have stock is in-house). Hopefully it will arrive in about a week.

I originally did not like the leather grain that Vaja is using for this case, but after seeing more 'real' pics posted, and realizing that it's a more durable grain than the smoother varieties, I have since changed my view.

I'll report back after I recieve it. I hope this is the end of the iPad 2 case search. I will also be using a SmartCover and SmartFeather combination depending on where I am with my iPad. For me, these are the best solutions.

I have the Vaja in Black with the Black microfiber. I love it. I used the Twelve South BookBook when I'm out of the house and the Vaja in house. I'll be really surprised if you don't like it. But, different strokes for different folks!

So how much of a dirt/dust magnet is the microfiber inside? (With my Senacase there is always quite some dust/small crumbs on the inside, luckily they dont get transferred to the screen as much as I first tought)

And how secure does it hold the iPad? It always looks like it couldnt work for long holding the iPad only by the edges and 3 corners.

Received mine today- love it- holds the IPad securely, very light, and all positions for facetime, typing, etc. are secure. The leather is soft and beautiful- well worth the wait.

Just wanted to thank the posters who provided the cases.com coupon code. I had a Noreve on order but it has been consistently delayed and I decided to cancel the order. Just placed an order for the black Vaja Libretto through cases.com with the coupon code. I can't wait to receive it after viewing the pics that were posted.

I received my Libretto today from cases.com and the weight is 10.0 ounces.

I was surprised that the fit is very tight... to the point that it's very difficult to insert the ipad. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it's normal or if the one I received is abnormal. At first I thought maybe it was because I have a skin on the back but I tried with my wife's ipad and the fit is the same. Last year I had a Vaja Agenda and it wasn't tight like this.

Also, I have a Sena UltraSlim (Smart Cover version) leather sleeve and the leather is exactly the same.

Yes, it is very tight and I had difficulty inserting it at first too, but I think it is more a matter of how you approach it and once inserted it is very secure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine.

I had the same problem. I also have a skin on the back & tried every way to get it to fit but just couldn't. Finally ended up taking the skin off & got it to fit, but it's definitely tighter than the Agenda 2 case I had for my first generation iPad.

No, I said that I have a skin on mine and my wife's doesn't have a skin. The fit was just as tight with both ipads.

At least I now know that my case isn't a production anomaly.

I must say that is rather comforting news that is is so tight. So the complete inner of the back is metal?

Once again the question to those who have it: Do you regret having the mirofiber inside? Does it get dirty fast?

Edit: So I asked if they would make inner material like the outer, but all they offer is that other leather embossed with the Vaja name which you can now choose on their site. btw. the answer was quick.

As someone else said, the inner material is almost suede-like and I like it- find no problem with dirt and any lint, etc. is easily brushed off. I always found their response to be quick- just the wait for the actual product is soooo long! Now that cases.com has some of them in stock for delivery, I would say that is a viable option if they have the model and color you want.

thanks for the info...I dont think they have the Shitake, but I can order from their german reseller...price seems higher but I can get back VAT so it doesnt make much sense to order from cases.com...even if customs let it slip through.

damn...I am folding
