Ok so my wife has an 8 plus and I have an X. I got a 8 plus last year and decided I wanted the X two months later. So last year in order for me to get the X we had to swap sims, so I traded in the 7 plus line which was hers to upgrade to the X via device payment. When I tried to order tonight it wouldn't let me saying the phone numbers needed to be activated with correct device to match up. I swapped sims in my phone to upgrade my iPhone X to an xs max. I got email confirmation so is it okay to switch them back or do we have to swap phones until my phone ships? Also, when my phone arrives I will trade in my iPhone X instead of her 8 plus right? She loves her 8 plus and will be upset with me if she has to trade hers in and start using my iPhone X. Thanks in advance guys!

I had the most bizarre experience this year. I was ready to order through the web and went through the selecting process quickly. At checkout, I opted for paypal since I have money in there. After logging in to PayPal and pressing the ‘return to merchant’ window it crashed. I tried the app and it went smoothly with paypal until the last window. It gave me the error window message below. I gave up ordering it and a few seconds later I got an email with the order confirmation BUT it shows my card on file as the type payment method and not paypal. I’ll defitinely be calling for activation fee waving (I do every year) and some extra credit for charging the wrong card.
Email confirmation at 2:08AM CST for XS 256GB SG with 09/21 delivery.

You won't see any changes until next week, just prior to shipment.
No option to preorder with an existing iPhone plan and just leave it alone. You are forced to either pay off early and trade in, or pay off completely and upgrade, unless you want to do a new line. I wanted to keep the phone and sell it on swappa. Oh well, I just sent through the Apple app and they let me keep my X.

Just for the 512 GB. So far the rest are still showing Sept 21st. Almost 40 minutes into preorder, and the popular ones are still available. Must not be as big of a demand or Apple as plenty available.
Yep. Looking like Oct 5 - 12 for 64gb and 512gb models, Sept 28 - Oct 5 for 256gb. I'm surprised
