Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I ordered the Xs Max 256GB Gold and it delivers Sept 21. However, my Series 4 black stainless steel 44mm with black loop won't deliver until Oct 5th. I am going to check out BB. It they have earlier delivery date, I'll cancel Series 4 order from Apple and go with BB.

Trying the Apple silicone case this year, my friend speaks volumes of his for his X
 
I was able to order the Xs Max 256GB in Gold earlier.

Email confirmation came at 2:06am for 9/21 delivery.

Verizon has not activated eSIM as of yet. may be later this year or next. You will still need to put in a sim card.
 
Site was being a ponce to me and finally let me in after a few tries, managed to get the 256GB Gold Xs for delivery on the 21st about 15 minutes after they went live.
 
Ordered a Max- Silver, 256GB. Ordering was a breeze this year.

I've always preferred the standard-sized iPhone 6/7s to the Plus for my usage, but I couldn't resist here; that huge display is going to be striking!!
 
Completed my order for the Iphone Xs Max 256 gb at 3:30am eastern with a 9/21 ship date! cant wait for all the exciting stuff to begin!

I wouldn't recommend the silicon case.. I used it prior switching to the leather case. The feeling in hand of the silicone case is silly to me, also when putting the phone with the silicone case in my jeans, it makes it hard to get it out.

I would definitely recommend the leather case.

Guys I really could use an answer on this question please.

Ok so my wife has an 8 plus and I have an X. I got a 8 plus last year and decided I wanted the X two months later. So last year in order for me to get the X we had to swap sims, so I traded in the 7 plus line which was hers to upgrade to the X via device payment. When I tried to order tonight it wouldn't let me saying the phone numbers needed to be activated with correct device to match up. I swapped sims in my phone to upgrade my iPhone X to an xs max. I got email confirmation so is it okay to switch them back or do we have to swap phones until my phone ships? Also, when my phone arrives I will trade in my iPhone X instead of her 8 plus right? She loves her 8 plus and will be upset with me if she has to trade hers in and start using my iPhone X. Thanks in advance guys!

It was listed on the slide as supported, and it already works with iPad.

If they ship the subscriber info on the physical sim how would you be able to transfer that onto the embedded sim later? Defeats the purpose of the entire dual SIM feature.

The only thing that makes sense is if the shipping carrier encodes the esim.

Very true. I have a white silicone case and a saddle brown leather case for my X, love them both. I often switch them multiple times throughout the week, there's pros and cons to both haha.

Picked up a white silicone case for my Xs Max, but now considering saying F it and ordering a saddle brown leather case as well. Hmm...

Thanks for the clarification. Reps told me different. When will I learn not to trust the reps.

The site was goofy and so was the app for a brief moment. I refreshed the app and the process to order changed, but I was still able to order quickly enough. Verizon didn’t collect any money from me either which made everything even quicker. Someone told me to expect taxes to be taken upfront, but that wasn’t the case for me.

Very good first pre-order experience... :)

Did you get your watch through Verizon or Apple? VZ isn’t showing the SS versions and given I work in the veterinary field where I get scratched and bump my hands into stuff at times, I’m not settling for the Aluminum at all

No one really knows exactly how this part is going to work... just trying to think through it. If I was Apple... :)

I just think the only way it makes any sense is if the “primary” carrier is the esim carrier.

Otherwise say you go overseas or whatever and you want to drop in a sim for cheaper/faster data... how does that work?

Lots of questions around that feature....
 
Tried the Verizon website first and it crashed so called a rep. Had an issue connecting to the website to complete the order but after the 5th attempt I was finally able too and received an order number on the phone (256Gb Xs Space Gray). When I tried to buy the watch through the rep, she told it was $500 something. I was and still am confused because on the Apple website the Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Milanese Loop GPS+cellular is $849. Glitch in the system? I don't know but she assured me multiple times I was ordering the correct item. Looking at my account, I see two orders but I haven't received any details in e-mail so keeping my fingers crossed that everything is correct. If not, I guess I'll cancel and order the watch through Apple. This is roughly the same experience as last year. Website can't keep up with the demand. Hope ya'll had a better experience.

or see if youcan get it early buy ordering what delivers 9/21 and buy the band separately? just a thought. I had to do that with series 2.

I went into my bank today and told them to expect a $1800-$1900 charge on my debit card tonight at around 1 local time and to make sure it goes through.

You should be able to swap the sims back and the X would be the phone u send back since that’s the phone the agreement was under.
 
Was able to grab the Max 256 Space Grey for myself and the 64gb Xs Gold for my wife. Verizon app was actually faster than the desktop this time.

9/21 delivery for both :cool:
 
A heads up for those that ordered an iPhone Xs and an older phone via the app... the app shows the old pricing for some models like the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. $100 more than what the desktop shows. I noticed it on the email confirmation as I was expecting a monthly payment of $2 for an iPhone 8 256Gb post $700 discount but instead it was $6 and change; totaling the phone to $850 retail rather than the $750 retail its supposed to be. I used the livechat and they told me it was a mistake and they will adjust the price accordingly.

I ordered Series 4 through Apple and ordered the iPhone Xs Max through Verizon.
