I never had a case on my phones until the X. Not sure why but maybe I wanted a new color or got tired of babying it. So I picked up the Apple leather cobalt blue case. LOVE IT! However the Xs Max leather options are rather slim right now. I don't want saddle brown as everyone and their brother will have that. So I opted for the white silicone. Never had a silicone case from apple but wanted something simple to put on this beast for now. I will order a leather case when more color options are available that don't look so damn drab.

Had to be through Apple. Verizon doesn’t have the SS versions available for order yet. I called in just to be sure there wasn’t a problem with their site.
The Series 4 times are slipping on the Watches quickly. The gold SS Milanese slipped a week while I was on the phone with Verizon around 10-15 minutes after the hour, then it was suddenly October 5th. Damn.
No, you don't have to be as far as I know. I had an issue myself but I think that's because I changed plans today (stupid move on my part). Was on an unlimited and moved to a shared plan (waaaaay cheaper). Didn't know it existed. Saving me $40 a month.

The app took a few minutes after midnight but I managed to get the xs max gold, 256 (plenty for me) for pickup at 9/21 between 8-830am...then I got bumped to 8:30-9am during the checkout.

My bank never cares when I purchase something large on my debit card. They always flag big purchases on my cc. I guess they have no issue with using your money, instead of theirs. Plus when I did enter my debit card info, it took me to a US Bank pop up to verify the transaction by entering the last 6 digits of my SSN, the 3 digits code on back of card and the PIN number of the card.
Once I swapped sims back so the upgrade would go through I upgraded my line. I used her line to get the x last year and then swapped sims so I could use the x. I should’ve upgraded her line again shouldn’t I? Now it looks like I’ll have to give my wife my x and ship her 8 plus back for the trade in. Crap.
Ok BB is not showing a shipping date for the Watch Series 4 LTE. It simply says we'll let you know when it ships. Therefore I did not border through BB. I'll just keep my Apple Watch order through Apple and my iPhone Xs Max order through Verizon. I have the series 3 to use until series 4 arrives. I guess I won't die waiting for it.
Question about the eSIM. If Verizon is going to do this right away with the new iPhones, and we keep a backup phone, exactly how would we reactivate the old phone if there is now no actual sim card in the new phones? Previously, I would just take the sim out of current phone and put it in the backup up phone, and it just works.
Speaking of e-SIM, I ordered the SIM-free model. According to the Apple Support website, you will use the carrier app to encode the e-SIM, if I read correctly.

I went with Verizon this year, trading in my iPhone X. Went smoother then ever using the Apple Store. Says it will be here 9/21. Got the iPhone Xs Max, 256. Did not want to spend an extra $200 to double the capacity when I have 80GB free. Also, getting $630 in credit for my current phone so that will help with the monthly bill. Just gotta pay off the remaining balance on the Apple Upgrade Program!

I would bet that if you choose not to set up eSIM on your phone, you can just put the VZW sim card in the new phone, and it will just use that instead. You really only need to set up the eSIM if you want to operate as dual sim.
leaving for ATT it appears, Verizon only offering 700 if open a new line. Might as well jump ship, no real difference in my area
I wasn't going to upgrade this year for the first time in many years, but I conveniently woke up at 3:40. I made the mistake of seeing if the model I was interested in was still available for release day shipping and ended up ordering a gold XS 256GB. Should be an interesting upgrade coming from an 8. I've never even played with an X, so it'll be a whole new experience for me.
Are you viewing the SIM-free option delivery? The Verizon option is showing 9/28 - 10/2 for the 64 and 256GB.
So I took my wife’s upgrade and ordered the iPhone Xs Max 256bg with the new esim and standard sim, think there would be an issue when activating the phone? Are they using esim or standard micro sim like normal? If it’s micro sim then it’s pretty simple to just swap the sims but if it’s esim i dont know how that’ll work any thoughts?
Alright, so ended up coming out of there with two iPhone Xs Max. My father's, a 512GB Space Gray and mine a 256GB Silver. Both have a delivery date of next Friday. Very excited! A pretty large upgrade from my 7 Plus, although if it wasn't for that $700 BOGO deal I can comfortably say I would not have ordered a phone for myself lol.

I snagged an xs max 256gb silver and a 44mm space gray sport band watch, delivery on 9/21. Confirmation email rec’d at 0340 central.
Why would I have to pay off the balance if I want to keep the monthly plan? I'm not getting any subsidies or incentives on the new iPhone.
Ordered 2 Xs Max phones at around 5:00am EST. 9/21 delivery date, 2 hrs after orders opened. Surprised but happy about that. On the Verizon site, all models still show 9/21 delivery date, so not sure why others are seeing delivery dates into October for some models.
