Order went through at 3:02, no problem. 64GB Xs Max. Verizon always does a great job with preorders, so if it says 9/21 for you - expect it on that day.

I wouldn't recommend the silicon case.. I used it prior switching to the leather case. The feeling in hand of the silicone case is silly to me, also when putting the phone with the silicone case in my jeans, it makes it hard to get it out.

I would definitely recommend the leather case.

Agreed. That and it collects dust/lint like crazy. I hated it. I prefer the super thin cases from caudabe, totallee, and peel.

Welcome to the thread for the Verizon 2018 iPhone pre-order thread.

If the rumors and leaks are true; which iPhone will you be getting? And are you using the Verizon app, VerizonWireless.com, Preordering at a Verizon store or just camping out on launch day.

Let us know.

This thread will be updated on new information when the New iPhones are launched.

Official Apple Announcement September 12, 2018.

If everything is true I’m going for the highest GB iPhone(even though I don’t need it), the largest phone size and the gold color.
256max gold

I canceled my XS Apple Verizon order and replaced with a sim-free version. The latter still delivers on Sep 21st and I will just pop my 7 Verizon SIM in. Will this save me the activation fee as well?

I did. It was when I clicked an option to trade in a phone so I back tracked and said I wasn’t trading in a phone, even though technically I am giving back my iPhone X as part of the upgrade program, and didn’t get the message again.

My original plan was to see if I could get the $100 extra on your trade in on top of the ~$500 they were offering for iPhone X. I was just going to pay it off myself now and then send it in to get the deal and be hopefully about $100 ahead of the game but when I saw that message you saw, I got nervous and just did it the traditional way. Does that make any kind of crazy sense?

You don’t get $100 on top. You get a minimum of $100 or market value if the amount is higher than $100.

Verizon offers 630 trade for my iPhone X. I’m on the New Verizon plan. How is trading in at verizon? Done at the store or mail in?

How's everyone's anxiety this morning? ;)
I was lucky to get my order in on the website before it completely crashed on me. Got a leather case ordered as well. I'm excited!!!

Yup, hated the silicone case myself. Leather is the way to go.

I still haven't received an email, should I be worried?

I bought a gold max on the Verizon site on a payment plan on my current line. The site says Pending, with a 9/21 ship date so I'm not too worried but it seems odd that I still don't have a confirmation email.

Anybody else still waiting on an email?

Went onto the VZW site just now and it still shows the 256s SG XSMAX as delivery for 9/21. Surprised that demand is low or supplies are high.
I agree I was apple to order the MAX and the watch this morning when I got up for work at my normal time. I think it has to be demand rather than supply. Usually by 9-10AM the items are a couple to 3 weeks out from launch day.... I suspect that we have hit a precipice where people not on an annual upgrade plan have no real need to upgrade... for most day to day operations and use cases the cell phone technology peaked 3 years ago...

Hello all that time of year,
Order 12:05 PDT
2: iPhone Xs Max Gold 256gb
Ordered through app
Website crashed
Also How can I get them to waive
the 30$?? Thanks and good lick guys

Based on most models being 9/21 still I think I may just go into Verizon on launch morning. Last year you could pretty easily grab an X on launch day in a lot of areas and demand this year seems far less. Still debating even upgrading from the X to the Max in general...

Because they came out over a month after iPhone 8. No one wanted to wait.

I have done it every year. I just contact a Verizon rep and ask them to waive the fee. They push back for a minute, but if you persist, they agree to waive the fee for being a loyal customer. I just did it via the Verizon app a minute ago.

I'm trying now, will keep everyone posted

Update....last night I posted that I guessed on the CVV number for my wife's credit card...I was wrong. Had to call Verizon this morning and they couldn't change it. So I had to cancel the order and place a new one. Still got the 9/21 delivery date though (which is surprising) so I guess no harm done. Besides me waking up in the middle of the night for nothing

I only think that was true for a small margin of people. Most people were saying why bother with the 8. The true demand was for the X and even then it was reasonably well available at launch

I think more than anything the larger prices have made people take more time or consideration into it. I mean dates holding for preoder for more variations than I've ever seen.

Did anyone else get a message saying, "This iPhone model is not eligible to participate in the annual upgrade program"? This popped up on one of the screens in the Verizon App after selecting the Xs Max phone.

I had the most bizarre experience this year. I was ready to order through the web and went through the selecting process quickly. At checkout, I opted for paypal since I have money in there. After logging in to PayPal and pressing the ‘return to merchant’ window it crashed. I tried the app and it went smoothly with paypal until the last window. It gave me the error window message below. I gave up ordering it and a few seconds later I got an email with the order confirmation BUT it shows my card on file as the type payment method and not paypal. I’ll defitinely be calling for activation fee waving (I do every year) and some extra credit for charging the wrong card.

I had trouble using paypal on the app it would say it was going back to merchant window and then would just go to the how do you want to pay screen again. I was able to get it to work fine on the website though

Sometimes the confirmation email takes about 24 hours or so. I remember last year, I didn't get mine until the next day.

Ignore this message. Phones are typically added to the Annual Upgrade Program at a later date. Also, from what I understand from being a Verizon customer, and from what I was told directly from a Verizon rep, you can upgrade any phone once you have paid off 50% of it.

It's because you haven't paid 50% of the phone yet. You have to pay whatever you owe up to the 50% in order to upgrade.
