Ignore this message. Phones are typically added to the Annual Upgrade Program at a later date. Also, from what I understand from being a Verizon customer, and from what I was told directly from a Verizon rep, you can upgrade any phone once you have paid off 50% of it.

Ah, Ok. That's kinda what I figured but wasn't sure. I almost didn't pull the trigger on my two orders because of this, but did anyway. Ordered two Xs Max 256gb models and had to pay ~$150 between the two lines to reach the 50%. Now to see if I can get the activation fees waived :)
 
Just checked the Verizon site. Can still snag Xs and Xs Max models for a 9/21 delivery date. Must have a huge supply this time around or the demand is lower.

I'm sure demand is lower because: No good trade in promo, prices too high, iPhone XR is what people are waiting for.

Also this is a S year. Not much of a change between the X and Xs. Like you said, the XR and Max are what people are likely gunning for.
 
Did anyone else use Apple Pay on the Verizon App last night? On mine an Authorization came through then dissappered and Verizon via phone can't see the details of my order. Last night was so confusing.

I'm having this same exact issue. I called Verizon and they said they can see every time I've done it with a credit check. I said that's weird, I'm upgrading through Apple/Citizen One why is a credit check coming through. He wasn't sure but contacted the credit department and said I was approved every time. The Verizon rep then contact Apple to let them know there is no issue on their end and Apple said it was traffic related, try later. I've been trying since yesterday at various times. I'm on hold with Apple now to see if SOMEONE can see what is wrong. You're the 2nd person on this forum that I've seen have the same issue.


I was able to place an order successfully at 3:00 AM. "Pre-approval" wise was un-successful as apple shut the Apple Store app down after 4:00 PM yesterday. My pick up date is September 21st :). I hope you were able to order.

VZW app had the countdown about a minute faster than the web. Very smooth process. I did the same last year.

Ordered this morning at 3:04am. I got excited when I just received shipping confirmation emails with tracking numbers but now realize it’s likely just the boxes for trading in my current iPhones. LOL.

yes, mine says pending as well - ordered though the app.
 
I called customer service and they said they’d waive the fee as well! Had to wait about 10 minutes to talk with a rep, but after that it was super easy.

Did they say how they were giving you the credit? I chatted with a rep and he said they would refund the $60 in activation fees but only after it posted to the bill. I explained that it appeared these fees would be charged to my CC. Either way, he said the money would be credited to bill on next billing cycle.

Of course it says pending. Do you not know what pending means? What other status would it be in before it ships?

That is what they told me as well. The lady was nice and said she notated it on my account and that once I got my bill to reach out to them and they would reverse the fee.

EDIT: I should note that I don’t have auto pay on for my account, so it won’t automatically be charged to my CC. I’m not sure how they’d work if you have auto bill setup, I’m guessing that they would just credit your next bill cycle so it’s $60 less.
 
Smart move. Yea it takes a little pushing, but they have always waived the fee for me.
Surprisingly for me, I just asked and straight out the lady didn’t argue at all. She was very nice, sounded like she was tired though so maybe she didn’t feel like putting up the fight after working all night on these preorders. Lol

anyone planning on taking advantage of the bogo $700 deal by add a line and cancelling an existing one? Just wanted to hear confirmation that it works. Was on a chat with a CS rep who told me I had to cancel the lines first before I purchased my iphones.
 
How does it usually work with Verizon? How long till we see status changes?

Middle of next week (Tuesday, maybe Wednesday). May get tracking over the weekend, but it won't begin moving anywhere until late Wednesday or Thursday (if it's already in the US, which has always been the case for all iPhone launch orders I've done with Verizon), only when I've ordered from Apple have they come from China.
 
Actually, I just noticed if I go to My Orders on Verizons website nothing is there, however I have en e-mail confirmation from them. I ordered on the website last night at 3:00am. I have an order number and if I click the link to track status in the e-mail it says:

apparently i'm going to have to camp at an apple store or wait six weeks. because my job gets me a discount on my line and apparently there's some kind of flag on my account. I couldn't do apple payments thanks to that and given that I'm sick of our account rep being invisible I want off verizon so no way am i signing a payment contract with them. and excuse me for not having $1200 to drop on a phone in one sitting
