Does anyone know if the $700 credit promotion is also available if phone purchased at the Verizon store during launch day?
 
Did anyone else use Apple Pay on the Verizon App last night? On mine an Authorization came through then dissappered and Verizon via phone can't see the details of my order. Last night was so confusing.

I did! I got an email order confirmation immediately. In the app, I can go to Account -> Purchases -> Orders and see my pending order. My card has not been charged yet.

Good afternoon everyone. So my pre-ordering experience goes like this:

I had the alarm for 2:50 am (totally slept through it:cool:) but I woke up around 4:45 am. I was told by a one of the representatives on the phone (Thursday) that they were going to call me when pre-orders went live. I knew that sounded to good to be true lol. Anyways, I purchased the phone through the actual chat of the website. (I was using my 7 plus half asleep). I received an email right after. When I went through the email I noticed that the shipping address was not accurate and I called them around 8 am. Thank god for that because I had to speak with Fraud dept to make sure that I was the actual person ordering the phone. (I am delivering my phone to my job site) but everything else went smooth and my phone should arrive by launch day.:p:p
 
Walked into my corporate VZW store this morning. Moving from AT&T and ordered 2 64gb Xs Max - shipping 9/21 so should have on launch day. Guess the pre-order is different stock.

Yes - I got it this morning up to $700 off on two phones

How is the trade in process? I’ve never traded in at verizon and wonder if it’s shady like some of the 3rd party sites.
Nothing special or shady. They send you a box and you send them the phone. They don’t want any accessories or anything with it. Nice and simple.
 
I chatted with Verizon and they waived both upgrade fees, but they did try to say they couldn't at first.
I chatted with an agent and they waived both upgrade fees attached to the order. Surprisingly they didn’t say they couldn’t do it at first. Interesting.

Same. Email says deliver by 9/21. On the orders list in the app it says “Estimated to ship around Sep 21,2018” and if I go into the order it says “Estimated to ship Sep 21,2018”. I have no doubt it will be here on the 21st. Verizon has never let me down in the past even when it only says it will ship on the release date. FWIW, my order confirmation email came in at 12:08 AM.
 
Did they say how they were giving you the credit? I chatted with a rep and he said they would refund the $60 in activation fees but only after it posted to the bill. I explained that it appeared these fees would be charged to my CC. Either way, he said the money would be credited to bill on next billing cycle.

They can only give you a credit
 
Ordered Silver XS Max 256GB a few min ago. Still launch day delivery. Card not charged but normal (expecting charge coming on Wed/Thur).

A hour earlier I saw on the Verizon app that the iphone XS Max was saying receive by October 10th so I thought I'd try the Verizon store next Friday. Then just a few minutes ago (1:21) pm, I went back on the app and it said deliver by September 21! Of course I ordered. As soon as the order was completed, it then said ship by 9/21.

I'm confused. I ordered the iPhone X through Verizon last year but I cannot remember which one it said about shipping. Will I receive it by next Friday or will it ship next Friday the 21st?

For dropping the upgrade fee when you guys are saying "chat" with someone are you talking to them on the phone or where in the app is the chat? And is there a magic word to use for them to credit the account?
 
Switching from att. I attempted to place an order of three phones as a new Verizon customer. Had the hiccup where when they pulled credit, I needed fax them a copy of id and ssn. (Who still used fax, btw?!) Called and emailed the copies instead, and was on my way to ordering three new lines. Ordered silver and gold max 256gb, and xs black, all for delivery of 9/21. No supply constraints here.

Can anyone tell me what I am To do to port my att lines over?

Me: "I understand but, as a long-standing and loyal customer I would appreciate it if these fees could be waived"

Verizon: "We value your business and because of these, we would be willing to credit your account the $60"

You might get some push back from them but at the end of the day, they will refund it back.
 
anyone planning on taking advantage of the bogo $700 deal by add a line and cancelling an existing one? Just wanted to hear confirmation that it works. Was on a chat with a CS rep who told me I had to cancel the lines first before I purchased my iphones.
I upgraded my wife’s line with an iPhone Xs Max and opened a new line with another iPhone Xs max to get the $700. My plan is to port my current number (which is not on any contract) to google voice and then port back to my new line. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to the comments here, I tried it via the web chat. I just asked them to waive it straight up, had to do zero persuading or anything. The associate said there is a note on my account to credit the charge. Then just contact again when that charge is posted to the account and they will credit me back without issue. Pretty straightforward, makes sense that they wouldn't credit you right away (if you happen to cancel your order, for example).

Yeah, I was able to chat with an agent just now, said that I have been a long time verizon customer and I wanted my activation fees waived for the order I made earlier this morning. The person said they would look into it, then just said ok, once it shows up on the bill, they will credit the activation fee back. Thanks to whoever posted that first, nice tip!

If everything is true I’m going for the highest GB iPhone(even though I don’t need it), the largest phone size and the gold color.

Exact line I got. Word for word, but still got that credit. They are required to say no the first name. You ask again and they will.
