The status of my Xs Max SG 256GB has finally changed to SHIPPED, via FedEx, from Coatesville, PA. Currently shows that delivery should be by 4:30pm in Southern CA.

I hope everyone else that has been stuck in Pending or Processing mode for days will see the same thing today!

The special is already active. It’s the buy 1 get 1 for $700 off (just need to have one new line). We will never get as lucky as we did 2 years ago with the $650 trade in deal thing. They admitted they all lost tons of money that year. It wont happen again.

How does that special benefit someone that does not need a second line?

As for the $650 trade, I would bet money that at least half, if not more, upgraded to the X last year and when they did they lost $325 of their $650 trade. They probably didn't even realize it.

Well, that’s the thing, you wont benefit unless you have a need for another line. I am fortunate that I have an account with 4 lines, so I am able to move things around easy etc.

I imagine you might be correct with last year too. Personally I just handed those phones down to family on my account, was easy.

I just don’t see verizon running any other deals, but who knows.

Both of shipped phones changed to 8pm as well. I know that’s usually for reaidences they have that time but, given the influx of Apple/Carrier deliveries to be made, they’re adjusting for a more reasonable frame of time to ensure deliveries are made tomorrow

Does anyone know how fed ex priority overnight works? Is it by 10:30 to all locations? The tracking number shows “by end of day” yet shipping is “fed ex priority overnight”

I think I’ll pick up my watch at UPS let fed ex deliver hopefully by 10:30

Call fedex. They won’t leave a highly sought after item without signature. I suspect that they have to attempt delivery but maybe they can hold and deliver when you are home

I called Fedex today to see if I can hold at a Fedex Location (no go, need first delivery attempt). I asked if it required a signature, which he stated it does not. I also do not see indirect or direct signature required in the delivery manager. So not sure if all require a signature.

Coatesville, PA!!! Delivering to me by 8pm on 9/21... if only you all could see my dance of joy right now.

As for delivery times, FedEx comes through my area once or twice a day. They never seem to come late and often before noon. The latest has been around 2-3pm, IIRC. Hope that holds true for tomorrow.

Every year during the pre-orders, the delivery time is usually always pushed to 8pm. I’ve gotten my phone at various different times of the day, but it’s always come on launch day. The delivery time IMO means nothing.

I’ve never known them to not require a signature.

This is my third year in a row ordering my upgrades from Verizon that I've had major issues, so I think next year I'm going to try going back to the Apple Store app. I have been avoiding it the last couple years because it's always so slow during pre-orders, but my friends have been telling me it's gotten way better lately. Here is the timeline of Verizon stupidity I've experienced THIS year:

1. Preordered an XS and an XS Max on Sept. 14th the second the orders went live. Order went through fine, got email confirmation of the order shortly after.

2. Got an email from Verizon Sept. 16th telling me that my payment declined. Appears that my Apple Pay payment failed or something and I had to give them a regular card number. Updated payment information and they charged my card.

3. Order sat and sat and sat all week, status never changed, but said delivery date was still 9/21/18.

4. Got an email this morning that my order had been cancelled due to a "system error" and a new one had been put in for both phones with ship date of Oct. 10th.

5. Couldn't call support yet because it was too early, so I got on the chat in the Verizon app and the person I talked to said she was going to get the phones out today for me so they'd arrive tomorrow.

6. Order still says 10/10 delivery, so I CALLED Verizon a few minutes ago, and the person I talked to didn't seem to see what the chat person did to expedite the order, but she apparently talked to the ordering team and got the phones scheduled to ship out today. She says I will get a text when the delivery date changes and the phones are marked as shipped.

I am so tired of Verizon's stupidity with upgrades. I love their service and LTE speeds in my area, but their pre-ordering upgrade process for iPhones is HORRIBLE. Last year, they had my old phone back within days of me doing the upgrade (I tracked it the whole time it was on its way back to them), but didn't credit my account for the trade in for MONTHS. I had to hound them over and over and over again on the phone to give me the trade in credit and at one point they actually just charged me for the entire amount without my permission because they hadn't processed my 7 Plus through their trade in system yet. They were considering it a phone I hadn't turned in yet, even though they actually had it and confirmed with me that it arrived undamaged and functioning.

The year before that they flat out LOST the two 6s's I sent in on upgrade and I had to fight with them again to do the right thing and give me the credit for them anyway, which makes me look like I'm trying to get away with something or steal phones from them.

I'm just over it at this point. The problem is that even when I do go through the Apple Store app next year, I still have to get the old phones back to Verizon via UPS or whatever because they won't take them in the store, and that's where the nightmares always start.

SG 256 MAX being overnighted from Memphis. Super excited

Same. Verizon still shows “processing”, but my credit card was charged and FedEx.com shows a label was created with delivery tomorrow by 8pm.

Somehow I forget this is how it happens every year. Best thing to do is take a deep breath and trust that you’ll get it when you expect to. Keep yourself busy with shiny objects and/or medication. Otherwise, keep an eye on your bank account for charges and your FedEx account for new label. They are the best indicators.

I cannot even imagine the work load that FedEx and other carriers will have tomorrow!
