I know everyone is excited to use their device but at least you have your device, yes activation issues will occur just think of how many people are trying to the same thing as you - activate their phone and or watch.

Verizon is not the only one having issues today - Apple pickup orders are having issues, people cant get their devices or have to wait 2 hours +.

You have your device so chill-out and take a deep breath----Believe me I know Verizon wants you to activate your devices more than you probably know so we can stop calling them, login into our accounts to see the latest status etc....

Well said! Every single year there’s activation issues for half the day. I’m cracking up over all the complaining on the forum. Good lord don’t people realize the amount of traffic hitting the activation systems? Millions of people are trying to turn up new gear. World wide. If ay of the complainers understand high level the core network or how the activation works it’s impossible to have a system that can handle millions of requests per second. I bet in a few hours this is all behind them and they’ll find the next issue to post about lol thanks for putting this up I’m with you 1000%.

Can someone explain to me why my phone would be at my local facility for over 9 hours now without getting on the truck? I called fed ex and they were of no help. It says delivered before 8 pm which is three and a half hours away but still. What in the world?

anyone else having issues activating on Verizon?

Yes- same problem on the Activation screen where it won't accept the billing ZIP and PIN. Verizon says it's Apple and Apple says it's Verizon. 2 hours on the phone nothing working. Verizon account shows new Xs but it's not activating.

Did you guys try using the last 4 of the owner's ss number?

Yay my 512GB SG XS Max arrived in Colorado! To bad I’m not home from Kona until Monday lol I wish everyone nothing but bountiful Apple love today and please remember be nice to Verizon reps about activation issues. It’s not the reps fault the systems can’t handle the load. Patiance these days is virtue :)

Mine left the facility in Tempe at 8:30. Still waiting for it to get to me at Gilbert. Pretty nervous.

Finally got mine! Had it for around an hour now. Very happy! I had to go and chase down the driver though. What a PITA. His story was that he tried to deliver it, but it 'must've been the wrong house'. Must've been the wrong house?! This isn't some $50-$100 item, it's a $1300 PHONE! And he obviously knew that since the truck was full of them.

Also, mine activated no problem on a new line. I swapped the SIMs around to my old number and no issue, although the model isn't showing in My Verizon for some reason.

6:20pm. Still waiting for the driver. He usually arrives before noon. Fedex shows “by 8pm” delivery.

I hope you’re kidding? Otherwise you must be new to this game as every year there’s activation issues for the first day with everyone flooding the carriers systems. #FirstWorldProblems
You won the race it’s time to relax and soon your troubles will be behind you
Actually not kidding. Verizon ruined Christmas, essentially.

I've been on tech support for over an hour now, with no possible fix in sight. I already have a call into an apple support engineer as well, they will be getting back to me within a couple of hours they said.

The thing that baffles me is that Verizon can see my new phone on their network on their end, just won't let the verification zip/pin work correctly.

Exactly what I have. Apple Sr. Tech support said they have messages about this showing up in their internal tracking system and that going to an Apple store or Verizon may help. If I go to an Apple store it will be to return this Xs 256 and get a new one. This could take them a while to figure out where they messed up.

I’ve tried my Verizon PIN and last 4 of SSN, neither have worked.

Activation was a total nightmare but it’s all up and running now.
Were you having the issue with the billing zip code/pin activation screen?

Have you had any luck with this? I’m having the same issue.

It's taking a while to get through to Verizon, about 25 mins to reach the first level of reps. And I'm just calling to move devices from line to line. o_O

Mine delivered at 341pm Denver time I’d think you’d see yours any minute! Also the driver left it outside no signature etc argh thank goodness they rang the door bell so my friend found it. Check your porch etc just Incase
Good looking out, appreciate the input. I’m right downtown so I feel like I may be one of the last places to get a delivery.
