I’m having the same issue. Verizon can’t help but said they have an alert that told them to have the customer contact apple. I’m awaiting a call back from tier 2 support. Did you get it resolved?

And what pin do you use? Last 4 of social or Verizon pin?

It was my Verizon pin! That combined with an old zip code!

I’ve tried every combination. Unfortunately nothing works. I’ll have to wait for Apple to 0 it out.

I went into a Verizon store with my two bricks, and they tried EVERYTHING to get them activated without success. Changed ZIP code, changed PIN, manually removed them and added them to the account, tried WiFi & LTE, you name it- nothing worked.

I am headed to Apple to return the bricks and either buy new ones if they have them, or go back to Verizon, where they confirmed they have them (now, probably not 4 hours from now).

Bricks = Xs 256 SG and Xs Max 64 SG

I used chat support for Verizon and they got both my xs max and xs activated. Took a minuet but they got it done. I had to do the same last year with my x. I just thing that the servers get overloaded activating all the new iPhones.

What a clusterf*** this has been for you.

Finally it shipped. Hopefully the activation goes smoothly (had a hell of a time with Verizon last year on launch day with the 8+, having an unlocked phone really seems to upset the system on their end).

Broke down and decided to upgrade my series 1 watch. Ordered a 44mm sg aluminum from Verizon yesterday. It shipped this morning! Apple shows back order till middle of next month.

Ok all fixed. So I chatted with Verizon one last time. They updated all my addresses to the correct current address. They had a few old ones in there. They also had me turn off find my iPhone on my old iPhone and activated manually. I then turned off the iPhone and turned back on on and it’s went into setting up Face ID and entering Apple ID. No more zip and pin screen. Woot woot!!

Finally got mine! Had it for around an hour now. Very happy! I had to go and chase down the driver though. What a PITA. His story was that he tried to deliver it, but it 'must've been the wrong house'. Must've been the wrong house?! This isn't some $50-$100 item, it's a $1300 PHONE! And he obviously knew that since the truck was full of them.

Also, mine activated no problem on a new line. I swapped the SIMs around to my old number and no issue, although the model isn't showing in My Verizon for some reason.

I’m glad your got your phone. Wow, and you can tell the driver’s story is totally made up.

I ordered yesterday as well but in store still waiting for shipping

I’ve been watching for you to update us all day! I’m glad you got your phones after all and the jump the line actually worked!! Congrats!!!
Haha—sorry to leave you hanging!! Verizon has screwed this up every step of the way. It’s mind boggling. I have them screw something or other up literally every year, but this year they couldn’t even handle getting the hardware to me correctly. Doesn’t bode well for the exchange process when sending the old phones back to them. Last year and the year before I had major problems with that too.

I’m so tempted to buy one of those, it would be an upgrade from a series 2.

I just saw a snapshot of my potential bill, and it’s almost 300.00 what I’m the actual F

That’s weird, mine actually went down. Next bill is 80 bucks lol.

Mine shipped through UPS... what do I need to do to pre-sign? It seems like I get packages right before I get home from work.

So basically my bill would be 150 a month. I find that absolutely ridiculous. That’s after taxes and the insurance and all that. My question I have is it better to have asurion insurance or do AppleCare.

Anyone still waiting on delivery please note my order on FedEx said signature required however the FedEx driver left the phone by my door and rang the doorbell and left FYI so keep your eyes and ears open Incase. Thankful I had a house sitter or I’d be %#}^!
Hows everyone doing with activating today are ya having better luck?

It's been a good Saturday so far....just got notification that my iPhone Xs Max 256 GB SG has been shipped via FedEx with delivery scheduled for Tuesday by 4:30pm. Phone is currently in West Chester, PA. I placed my order just two days ago around Noon. Pretty good turnaround time for Verizon!

Also got a notification that my case has arrived. I am trying the Spigen Ultra Hybrid in the Matte Black color for the edges. Looks like it should be a clear case otherwise.

Got my problem fixed: Returned both Xs and Xs Max at Apple store, purchased new replacements, and they activated in seconds. Something was seriously wrong with the way Apple or Verizon had provisioned the IUP ones sent from China on our Verizon account. Verizon's actions taken at one of their stores tells me it was Apple's fault.

Now I have 6 open loans with Citizens: Two on the original IUP phones, Two on the China/Bricked Xs's, and Two on the new Xs's. The original ones will clear when the 8+'s get sent in, the Brick ones will clear in about 2 business days, and the final two will stay until next year at this time. What a total pain this was.

That was absolute hell for you. Shouldn’t be so hard to get a working phone!

I have about 6 packages flooding in from FedEx this week and next. On all of them, I can modify the delivery online by signing into my FedEx account. The only exception is my iPhone. Maybe it's because of the signature requirement, or a restriction put on Verizon, I do not know. I'm assuming it's the latter however, as I have been able to do this on signature-required packages with FedEx before.
Verizon is very strict on modifications (No address changes, No Hold for pickup, No deliver to a neighbor)

I would write a note including address, name, tracking and a signature as well as advise them to leave the package and where always has worked for me

For anyone in the Chicago area I was able to get the xs max space gray 256 in Hodgkins, plenty left as well as a bunch of other stores close by. Willowbrook, Hillside and Hodgkins.

If you are on Verizon Device Payment and you decide to pay off half of your current device to upgrade, can you do that in store WITHOUT giving them your phone at time of getting the new one? I know if you order through the mail you have 15 days to return your current phone after making sure you want to keep the new one, wondering if it's the same if you just do in store pickup? There's no reason it should be any different, but I'm sure the carrier store moron would tell me I have to turn in my old phone on the spot.

For those trading in their old iPhone at Verizon...are you removing the SIM card after you erase your data and reset phone?

thanks so much
