I would write a note including address,name,tracking and a signature as well as advise them to leave the package and where always has worked for me

Got my problem fixed: Returned both Xs and Xs Max at Apple store, purchased new replacements, and they activated in seconds. Something was seriously wrong with the way Apple or Verizon had provisioned the IUP ones sent from China on our Verizon account. Verizon's actions taken at one of their stores tells me it was Apple's fault.

Now I have 6 open loans with Citizens: Two on the original IUP phones, Two on the China/Bricked Xs's, and Two on the new Xs's. The original ones will clear when the 8+'s get sent in, the Brick ones will clear in about 2 business days, and the final two will stay until next year at this time. What a total pain this was.

What a mess. Glad it was finally fixed!

Yes they do have those but I personally don’t own a printer lol so I just write it out
 
One of the lines on my account is exchanging an XS Space Gray for an XS Max. Verizon is letting us use the XS until delivery of the XS Max which has an estimated date of 10/11. Hopefully it can here sooner.
 
My saga is long... but the short of it is, a pending order was canceled by the "jump the line" team so that I could purchase a phone in store. Verizon rep Emilio went above and beyond to make something "impossible" (as told my 4 different higher tier reps) happen. You the man Emilio, loving my XS Max that was stuck on processing and billed to me in error twice.

This is the short version. I spent close to 6 hours total phone time to get the phone today local. ugh.

Anyone having service issues after upgrading to the XS Max? My husband and I both are having issues with horrible service and our phone barely entering into 4G
 
I went to the store to take my sons old 7 plus in to get the trade in credits and impulse bought a XS Space Grey for myself. My DDP payment and line fee is $70.90 for my x 256gb and the DDP payment for $700 credits is -29.xx a month. So I just reduced my bill by $30 because I will use the new line for an ipad that is off DPP last month.

I got the XS and I am! To be fair, I’m in Gatlinburg where service was spotty last time we were here 18 months ago, but I had no problems with my 8 in the day I used it prior to getting my XS, and my husband is having no issues with his S9. If it continues once I’m home I guess I’ll have to go to the Apple Store.

I am, as well. It’s small and seems to be intermittent but it’s happening to me on cellular and WiFi. It’s just slow and seems to lose connection sometimes.
 
My phone was supposed to be here tomorrow. It shows departing China but just has a status of rescheduled delivery. Anyone else in this boat? It originally showed shipped on 9/21.
 
ordered at noon the day of preorders.. 64gb XS Max space gray... still processing and deliver by 10/03 :(
 
This isn't pre-order related, but I figured I'd try here first since it is about Verizon. I'm looking to see if there are any upcoming deals/offers I should be looking for, or are likely to come...

I currently have the iPhone 7, and my mom has the iPhone 6. I've always upgraded every two years, gave my mom my old phone, and then traded hers in with my upgrade (phone is four years old at this point). It seems like I've always gotten $200-$400 in the past when trading in with Verizon. Currently this year, the trade-in offer is $100. Does anyone know (or based on past experience) if Verizon may increase the trade-in offer in the the future to entice a second wave of upgrades? Or are there other options I should be looking into?

If it makes any difference, I have my own account with one line, and she has her own with two lines (other line is for my dad, who uses a dumb phone). I know there is a $700 offer if getting two phones and adding a line, but we are probably not interested in that. We would need to keep our accounts and lines the same.

I'm hoping when the Xr is released they come out with the same kind of offer like you were saying but there's no guarantee. I have a business account and my rep said they are very secretive about the offers until the day before the release but as of this date the $700 w/new line activation is the only one they've put out for the new Iphones.
I had an X that I sold and used an Iphone 7 in between, I was offered $227 for a trade in but sold it for more. Currently I have 2 people with Iphone 7's that will probably upgrade to the Xr. If there is no good trade in offer I will probably sell the phones instead of taking that offer. Time will tell...

Eventually Apple level 2 tech support got back to me and told me to input the 00000 for zip and 0000 for the pin. Entered that information, then finally got the screen to call the Verizon activation line and I was set then after that phone call!

Did you get yours sorted out yet?
They finally sorted mine out! Glad yours did too!

From the MacRumors front page article about this, it seems as though it may be a modem issue in phone. With the iPhone 8, the Verizon phone had Qualcomm modems, other carriers had Intel. From the comments, it appears as though the iPhone Xs and Xs Max have Intel modems exclusively. This may be leading to the degraded service you are experiencing re: LTE connectivity.
 
Bought an X on the IUP when it launched last fall. Decided to get a Max.

None of the stores in my area showed stock, so I ordered a Max from Apple using my IUP upgrade. Expected in 2-3 weeks. I figured I could manage two weeks.

The next day, order status said “preparing to ship”, woohoo. Bit at the same time, ALL the stores in my area have plenty of stock available for in-store pickup.

I’d rather get it now than in 2 weeks, so I tried to cancel my order, hoping to reorder with same day in-store pickup.

Can’t cancel online once an order reaches “preparing to ship” status. So I worked with a customer service rep who was happy to help. She said it would take 24 hours. That was almost two days ago, meantime the order status shows “preparing to ship” and I can’t use my IUP upgrade to make a new order until the existing once cancels.

It’s maddening.

Yes, yes, I realize I should just get a life, go for a hike, chill, let the iPhone situation play out.

But I want my f***ing Max, goddammit!!!

Hope y’all are getting the phone you want, when you want.
