Just ordered today 9/27 using corporate Verizon site. Estimate is 10/10. Any chance I get it early?

Id say theres a chance. I ordered day of launch through my works corporate account and got a deliver by date of 10/03. I just got mine yesterday 9/27
 
It seems like it’s been stuck on 10/10 for a while now, regardless of having ordered on launch day through as recent as today.

Curious as to if Apple or Verizon is at fault here.

I placed an order at around 12:30 AM ET on 9/21 got an Oct. 3 date and still haven't seen movement.

I wrote this in another thread:

Apple pay didn't go through when I originally ordered, so I got a notice to update my CC so I could be charged.. I've talked to 3 different people about this - first just said I needed to 'authorize' the card, second asked me over the phone for my card info and said I was good.. here we are 4? days later, no charge.. I contacted verizon again yesterday because I have 4 different order numbers on my account with an XS Max order (this occurred after talking to the 2nd rep that I gave my CC to). This 3rd person tried to assure me that I only have 1 order and everything looked in order.

If they don't charge until they ship the device, how would they have known that my card wasn't valid unless they were trying to charge me to ship it? So, why has it been days with no update?
 
I was at the Verizon store in Janesville, Wisconsin and they told me they will have a shipment coming on 10/10 which is a Wednesday. Ordered mine on 09/20 64GB Gold Max and it says pending for 10/10 arrival.

I just don’t understand how so little inventory is being allocated to carriers. Particularly for folks who ordered immwafiately upon launch.

When I called Verizon about my order. They mentioned something about a batch shipment. To me, when they get a ton of requests, they ship.
 
Hello, I opened a new account to order to Max's on Monday this week. One color was on backorder so the one that was in stock shipped out. Now we can not activate it.

I have read much about trouble activating but my issue is different. Verizon messed the account up because it went to fraud for identity verification, and passed but they said we needed to change the billing address to match the account holders drivers license. This was not a problem but they had to transfer us and by the time we got on with someone else they told us it was "taken care of." How, specifically, they didn't say but insisted the order was good to go and would ship when ready.

Fast forward to yesterday when we couldn't activate the first phone and they can't even find an account at first. By the time they do they can't get into it or create a new pin. We were told at first that our ONLY option was to drive 2 hours away to the nearest corporate store. There wasn't a return label in the box so literally even just to return and do a new order we'd need to go to the store to build an account.

I fought until I got a supervisor who finally created a pin so we made our account and signed up on my Verizon, but it still wouldn't activate the phone. I have no devices listed in my account, it just says error on the device page and the activation page. I can't even try. CS insisted that the activation was scheduled for Oct 1st because it was a pre order (it was not). They say it will be able to activate then.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Activation being scheduled and not able to happen beforehand? I got nothing early, and it wasn't even a pre-order. Even when people do get orders early they still activate right??? And assuming you do have a pre-order that hasn't shipped, Is it normal to see errors in your devices and activation page and nothing else or should you see the device even before it ships?

Finally making the switch to Verizon from AT&T. Placed the order today for 2 XS 256 with their buy one get $700 off the second phone promo.

Verizon support hasn’t given me confidence through this order process.. definitely seems better directly through Apple.

I haven't seen an instance where ordering through a carrier provides a better ordering experience as opposed to Apple. I, for one, need to as a result of my corporate ordering plan through work, but otherwise would avoid carrier ordering if possible.

Looks like it lol. On the VZW website the only ones that weren't backordered till the 5th - 10th were the XS Max 256GB in SG and Gold. I would've had it tomorrow if Verizon's website hadn't glitched out.

Honestly incredibly surprised that there are 9/21 buyers still waiting. Unless you guys got the 64GB / 512GB versions then it makes sense.

I ordered the XS Max Space Grey 512 on 09/26 with an expected ship date of 10/10. Last night at 8:30pm I received an email with confirmation of payment on it and the order has switched to a different 'processing order' looking screen. I just got done chatting with a Verizon rep about something else and she said I should have an email later today with shipping information (not that she may or may not know if it's actually going to ship today) so there's a forward movement on my order I guess. Fingers crossed ...
 
I spoke to Verizon again and this rep told me my order was cancelled and these orders I was seeing are not completed?? :mad::mad:

Talking with CS to correct this now. This is ridiculous.
 
Verizon reps are useless in my opinion. I ordered the same config as @J D A a week earlier and haven’t seen movement. I’m going to call and complain for the 5th time.

Interesting, the chat reps were as helpful as they could be. Like the first time I ordered, it looked normal but calling in the rep said at first "oh it's a manual order wait 24 hours it should appear." It didn't. Talking on chat I got around to having to order online again. The rep was super helpful. She even offered to bump it up to overnight shipping for free. I ended up instead just getting a $15 credit on my last bill (lmao, $15 off $130).

Either way she did a lot to clear it up and had me set so idk. Just be nice and don't complain when you call in?
 
Order xs MAX 256 Gold just now, got a ship date of 10/2/18. Lets see any changes later today.
