Hello, I opened a new account to order to Max's on Monday this week. One color was on backorder so the one that was in stock shipped out. Now we can not activate it.
I have read much about trouble activating but my issue is different. Verizon messed the account up because it went to fraud for identity verification, and passed but they said we needed to change the billing address to match the account holders drivers license. This was not a problem but they had to transfer us and by the time we got on with someone else they told us it was "taken care of." How, specifically, they didn't say but insisted the order was good to go and would ship when ready.
Fast forward to yesterday when we couldn't activate the first phone and they can't even find an account at first. By the time they do they can't get into it or create a new pin. We were told at first that our ONLY option was to drive 2 hours away to the nearest corporate store. There wasn't a return label in the box so literally even just to return and do a new order we'd need to go to the store to build an account.
I fought until I got a supervisor who finally created a pin so we made our account and signed up on my Verizon, but it still wouldn't activate the phone. I have no devices listed in my account, it just says error on the device page and the activation page. I can't even try. CS insisted that the activation was scheduled for Oct 1st because it was a pre order (it was not). They say it will be able to activate then.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Activation being scheduled and not able to happen beforehand? I got nothing early, and it wasn't even a pre-order. Even when people do get orders early they still activate right??? And assuming you do have a pre-order that hasn't shipped, Is it normal to see errors in your devices and activation page and nothing else or should you see the device even before it ships?
