Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Just wanted to chime in with a status on my order. I placed the order at 9:47am EST on 10/7 on verizonwireless.com for a 16GB White iPhone 4S. My credit card was just charged and the status has updated telling me it will arrive on the 14th. No tracking number as of yet.

either way, I wish UPS would actually acknowledge my tracking number already.

It beats me I have two coming to the same address one UPS, one FedEx.
 
Now it says my order has been sent for processing.

Is this what happens before they send it?
 
FYI

I got a confirmation email with tracking number, but when checking the status of the order the tracking number only shows up when it is checked from the first email verizon sent after ordering (to check status). When using the link
https://preorder.verizonwireless.com..... whatever it is I do not have a tracking number.

Again, got my tracking number email this morning around 6 am ET, UPS still does not show it in their system.

I ordered a 16gb black 4s at just after 3am ET. Live in NY
 
Finally worked on UPS track by reference, using OrderLocation_OrderNumber

I have a label created today for 2nd day air...no email or update from Verizon yet. :D

Ordered 64Gb Black on 10/7 at 5:30am EDT (vzwireless site)

Same situation for my boyfriend who placed his order right after mine.
 
Crazy that that reference number trick works, but I just found mine at UPS. Of course it only says a shipping label has been created, but at least it says something!
My Verizon packages have always come FedEx in the past, I was surprised to find it on UPS.
It does say signature required. I think I will be ok since UPS doesn't come until dinner time in my neighborhood, but will they accept a signed paper on the door if they come early?
Or can I go into change delivery once it ships and have it shipped to my office instead?

I'm in completely the same situation. I feel like most of us whose phones are coming from FedEx are in this same boat.
 
And as I hit submit reply, my shipping confirmation came from Verizon :D, guess I didn't need to dig so hard at UPS.
 
UPDATE

got my iphone shipping notice. CC has yet to see a charge show up, but i think AMEX takes awhile to post. Package has been picked up in Memphis with a 2 day air/Oct. 14 delivery date. its been a massively unproductive week, but i will now return to my work and catch you all on the forums all weekend most likely LOL :apple:

Confirmation Email: 5:51:01 AM CDT with 10/14 Delivery

Status Check Page changed to "Your order has been sent for processing." approx 1pm 10/11
CC charge approx 1pm 10/11

Fedex tracking available via "reference" approx 8am 10/12

Fedex tracking updated to "Picked up - MEMPHIS, TN" approx 1pm 10/12

Current status:

No tracking email received
No change in Status Check Page
Scheduled for Delivery 10/14
Location: Midwest
 
anyone knows a transit time from west chester to central jersey via FEDEX?
Current tracking says deliver by 14th, but it's only a short distance.
any chance of getting it tmr?

It all depends on how they're shipping. If it was overnighted it'd go out for delivery tomorrow, but I doubt it was/is. Probably to a distribution center in nj tomorrow, then out for delivery the next day.
 
Got my official email from Verizon at 1:15pm CST. I ordered a Black 64GB IP4S 15 minutes before 2am on the Verizon website. It says it shipped 2-day, so I guess it will be Friday. BTW: Its coming via UPS.
 
Well ****, I cant believe the reference number trick worked but sure enough my label just showed up in the system, fedex says it should be in asheville on friday!
 
I wish there was some sort of order to all of this! I ordered my 32GB black one within 30 minutes of it opening and yet orders from all over the place have gotten tracking numbers already.

Who are you kidding?? It has been and will continue to be a massively unproductive week... probably will take till next week to get back to same level...
 
Shipping Notification

Holla!

As an FYI to everyone still wondering whats going on with their orderd. I ordered a 64GB black 4s Friday morn at 2am Central from the Verizon website. I just got my shipping notification from VZ about 15 minutes ago. Up until then, my CC wasn't charged and all I got was a shipment will be delivered by the 14th notice.

They are shipping to me via UPS 2nd day air.
