Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

I still haven't rec'd a shipping e-mail from Verizon. However, I used the FEDEX trick people have talked about. My phone is in Memphis, TN and coming to Atlanta. It says the expected delivery is Friday by 7PM. Wonder if it will change to tomorrow since it's going such a short distance? If not, looks like i'll get it Friday!!!

How do you do the FEDEX trick?
 
Ugh, so my order says deliver by 21st but my order status on vzw changed to where I can click on a "plus" button to see a tracking number. Nothing shows up yet. My cc was also charged.

Dare I hope it will arrive on the 14th?

My mother had the LG Chocolate. Had to replace it because it kept getting super hot - some issue with the battery. I'm surprised it didn't catch her purse on fire!

Congrats on entering the iPhone family! I'm happy to be getting away from the craptastic AT&T "network" and coming back home to the reliability and stability of the Verizon network.

Been lurking for a couple days now.

32GB Black
Ordered ~9AM on Friday on Verizon.com
Received tracking info
"UPS 2nd Day Air" to CT
Only shipping label created so far

To anyone who looks like me, I suspect that we'll start to get some tracking info tonight when a ton of phones get loaded onto a plane headed to a major east coast distribution center. Tomorrow, they'll probably truck them to a local depot, and Friday they'll be out for delivery :)
 
what is the trick for the fedex tracking? I entered the primary cell phone number but no luck. However my order status on vzw changed to where there are plus signs but no tracking numbers.
 
Ticked off!!!

I pre-ordered a black 32gig through verizonwireless.com at around 3pm on 10/07. Since I placed the order, the email said that it would arrive the 14th. When I checked the status, it said Estimated ship: 10/14. I called the intenet sales department today, they told me that it had not been processed and that I ordered on time for shipping for the 14th. Now i went to check my status and it changed to 10/28 with no payment taken. I know that I am still going to get it on the 14th like they told me. Anyone else have this happen to them? WTF???
 
Just remember this is the most exciting part..... really as I have had every Iphone since the release and after a while you remember that it is only a phone and you grow tired of it. :) be thankful that something can get you this excited haha :) Pretty much everything else we want we just go get. Now we are having to wait which makes it :D Thanks :apple: for doing what you do best

We can hope for Atlanta and Charlotte but Fedex doesn't always drive in straight lines. 6 hours in Nashville wouldn't be precedent setting.

Still, we can hope
 
I'm in CA and ordered around 0230pst. 64gb white. CC charged and I finally got a tracking number. It's from UPS though. Verizon has always sent me phones via FedEx. So for those of you trying to do the FedEx trick you may want to try UPS.
 
Finally just got my shipping notification! So people who have there orders on hold I would expect an email from verizon soon. UPS 2nd day air

Thank God. I got the dreaded email yesterday that my order was on hold..I have hope now lol. Downloading iOS 5 in the meantime for my iPhone 4 :)

Received tracking #'s in the 5:32am edt email today.
I am still getting the following message:

UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later.
 
Still nothing for either of my business orders, but i did call in to ask for order numbers associated with the "MBxxxxxxxx" order reference numbers that were emailed to me to confirm my pre-order. I got the order numbers and location codes, and the fedex trick worked for me... both orders have tracking numbers, and are de for delivery on Friday by 4:30p. (for reference, the business order status shows one order as "complete", the other as "pending", with both having 10/21 dates.)
