Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

thought it also might be of note, i just got my email at 3:30 and saw it was 2-day shipping. just went over to Verizon and looked at my status and it shows
Courier : UPS
Status:
Ship Date: 10/11/2011

just shows that once again verizon site is terribly inaccurate or that they are incredibly backed up...or both.

I am getting the same one..This is frustrating me. If someone has any knowledge on this please enlighten us!
 
Also have just received shipping info. Two day shipping out of west Chester PA to central Maine. However mine is shipping VIA FedEx and the tracking number in the email shows its been picked up and is on time for Friday.

64 gb white ordered at 9am 10/07/11 at a local Verizon store.

Excited to get rid of this Droid

Same for me.
I have gotten this before when having items shipped. It can change quickly. Most likely Verizon has millions of UPS labels and they have assigned one to our accounts but the information for it has not yet been scanned into the UPS computer. I suspect that many of these will be picked up tonight and information will be uploaded into the UPS servers. I have seen packages go from this to out for delivery within 24 hours. Still I would feel better seeing at least how it is being shipped (ie 2 day air).
 
Well I got my tracking number this morning and I click on it and UPS writes that they cannot find my package, well they really say

">>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later"

I read that you can also do something like adding a _00 somewhere or using tack by reference but I am confused... :confused:

I hope it arrives Friday :D
 
My tracking information still gives me an error via the UPS site. I've tried the reference tracking as stated above and still no luck :(

got my shipment notification toady at 8:26 AM PST.
UPS Next day Air
CC charged yesterday afternoon.
UPS still says a label has only been created
hopefully they pick it up tonight and I get it tomorrow
anyone in a similar situation?
ordered 10-7 @ 12:32 A.M. PST white 16gb

Just got my tracking number!!! FedEx 2Day!
White 64 gig 4s, ordered around 3AM last Friday. My phone is in West Chester PA, and I live about 40 minutes from there near King of Prussia. I finally get to use the track shipment thingy on my MacBookAir!!

Goodbye Thunderbolt, you pain in the ass POS. First iPhone here I come!!
 
There's clearly still work going on behind the scenes with the shipping. When I checked the UPS page this morning, it simply said the name of my city in the shipping information box on the top right. Within about the last hour, it has now changed to my name and address with ATTN: and then my name again after it which makes me laugh since I'm definitely not going to miss this package. There also wasn't a reference number when I first checked, that has also been added sometime recently.
 
Got shipment notification email today just before 3pm EST. Ordered White 32gb around 3:05am EST. My girlfriend got her shipping email around the same time and ordered hers about 1 min after I did mine. She got White 32gb as well.

Being Shipped UPS - 2nd Day Air! It doesn't say where it is yet or expected delivery...Come on already Friday! Hating Thursday right now. haha
 
I ordered a 16GB white 4s at 3am CST, 1 hour after preorders started. I rcvd the confirmation email stating it would be delivered by the 14th. I also can check the status and it shows "your order will deliver by 10/14/2011" in the Status field, but is empty in the courier and ship date field. However, I found 2 tracking numbers associated with my location and order number on fedex. Both showed shipment info sent to fedex this am, but this afternoon at 3pm, 1 changed to "Picked Up in Memphis, TN". I am in Houston, TX. Weird that I have 2 tracking numbers, but it doesn't bother me. I'm sure I'll get it by Friday. Ordered online at VZW.com btw.

what did you put for the references?
 
Any ideas why my card was charged 2 days ago, now the money is back in my account. Got my shipping confirmation earlier today...

Location Number = L
Order Number = N

LLLLLLL_000NNNNNN

Basically LocationNumber, then an "_" followed by a 9 digit OrderNumber. If your order number is less than 9 digits, Prefix the appropriate amout of 0's before it to make it a 9 digit number.

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

That's what it shows on their website for my package.

This was me. Just popped over to label created, and i'm sure ill see it shipped tomorrow (2nd day air). Verizon's system can obviously create valid UPS tracking numbers before actually submitting them to UPS for full creation on their side. If this is happening to you, just wait it out, it'll change.
