Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

mine has been in Newark NJ since 1am. it must be at the facility in Moonachie by now getting sorted for delivery tomorrow. i tried to schedule a pick-up but the fedex site said that it wasn't an option for this delivery. fedex is about 3-4 miles from my house.
Welp, guess I jumped the gun. I just received my tracking number! It doesn't work yet, but it's there!

how funny, my iPhone is less than 2 miles away in my local fedex facility. I called to see if I could pick it up. It's containerized and it's not broken down, zoo looks like I have to wait for delivery tomorrow.

Well Verizon dropped the ball on me. I still don't have a tracking number after ordering the phone in the Verizon Store last Friday for my wife. She's coming over to my plan from AT&T. So I go in there today and they tell me that my order won't be processed until the 24th, and that my wife's number has somehow already been ported over. So now she's stuck with no service and having to wait until next weekend to get her phone.
I'm going to try to go in the morning and pick one up now, and cancel my preorder. Hopefully it will be as painless as possible. Verizon's usually been pretty good to me, but this time they dropped the ball and I'm disappointed.

how much do u think people are going to be willing to pay for the iphone4s if they cant get their hands on one tomorrow?

I'm going to call customer service in a bit to see what's up.
I just got my shipment notification like 5 mintues ago, so I would maybe hang on just a little bit longer! You can also ask them on Twitter @VZWSupport. They've been super fast to respond and been pretty helpful.
I'm thinking the same thing but it may not be worth it. After you buy a $300 phone and then you will have to cancel your contract for another $375.
I feel like people are going to get shipment notifications like all day today and they will overnight your phone to you. I can understand your worrying though!
I use the Grab app on my mac. You can use Snipping Tool on Win 7, or Alt-PrtScn to copy the screen to your clipboard. Open an editing tool and crop / black out the parts you don't want people to see.

If you already own a smartphone AND you are eligible for an upgrade then go wait in line for the 4S, get it, and call verizon and revert your # and plan back to your old smartphone...then sell the 4S for $700+
should be able to atleast double your money.
I Print Scrn, then drop it in MS Paint, crop it, save it as JPEG, then upload it to my Picasa and copy the link location. One of the options above in this forum is to attach a photo link, so I paste the Picasa link there and submit.

I was getting the message until noon today.
I ordered my white 32GB phone on Friday October 7th @ 7:00 p.m. CST with October 14th delivery. A noon today I got a message from Verizon saying my order has been shipped, and I have the "Shipping Label has been created" message from UPS.
I ordered a Black 32GB on the morning of 10/8. Order confirmation said delivery date of 10/21. Bummer! Card was charged on 10/12. Talked to 3-4 clueless Verizon reps in the last 12 hours - what a waste of time! I just now got my shipping confirmation email for FedEx delivery tomorrow. Woohoo!!! Hang in there...there IS hope!
