Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Finally got the tracking info via Fedex. Picked up from West Chester, PA enroute to my office in CT.

I'm using iCloud as I updated my iPhone 4 last night to iOS5. But yes, you should be able to use iTunes.

Verizon told me that we would not have to bring it to the store.
 
First two notes - the phone is much faster.

However, I ran into a problem already - trying to restore backup from iCloud and got the "Cannot Restore Backup" message. No explanation. Guess I'll wait until I get home and just do it from iTunes!

But hey, I got the phone finally!
 
Onterio CA to San Diego CA to Louisville KY then back to San Diego CA.

My phone seems to be on a sight seeing trip. Hope it get here tomorrow.

But Myself, As well as many other people just like to see updates. :p
Most of the time, If we don't see an update, We think It is just sitting there, and nothing is happening. But it is indeed moving, Just not updated. :)

I think Apple is having problems with their icloud backup servers. I haven't been able to backup to the cloud all morning.

I just backed up my iPhone 4 (again, just in case), and it worked fine. Perhaps there's a restore issue? It even shows the most recent backup to iCloud on the new 4S screen, but when I choose it and hit "Restore", it grinds a bit and pops up with "Cannot Restore Backup". I wonder if this is something Verizon/Apple has done to prevent activation of the new phones prior to the 14th launch date? That would seem odd, though.

I'll try it again in a bit with the new 4S.

I'm in CA, and my phone has gone from Ontario, CA (southern Cal) to San Diego, and just landed in Kentucky! All just to comeback to CA?! I could've had my phone by now :mad:

I am with you Fresern1. Still waiting on mine. lol I've been told my device will deliver 10/14, 10/21 and that it will ship 10/14 all from different reps. Order status is still showing "In Process; Expected Ship Date: 10/14". No CC charge either. So, I'm afraid all we can do is wait.
 
I ordered 2 iphones a 16gb black and a 16gb white. I ordered them around 8a.m. Sat. When do you think I will get them??? Also I am a new Verizon customer so I don't know if that will make a difference.:):):)
 
My last (and first) update on where my phone is was this morning telling me it was picked up in Ontario, CA at 8:35am. I live in jersey. It's supposed to be here by tomorrow...but doesn't that seem a little off?

Honestly, I am getting the feeling that they are catching up a bit on orders. There's a chance you may receive your device tomorrow.
