Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Went to my local Verizon store in the mall and there was no line. I asked if they had iPhones - "Yep". Just around inside the mall, the Apple store had a long line.

I picked up the new iPhone 4S for the family, no line, no waiting. They had all models, even 16gb in white or black.
 
called verizon & they activated it for me...this phone is so amazing, i love it! don't know how i'm going to be able to work with this sitting in my purse!
 
Still waiting..

Long Beach, CA here, been on truck since 7:06am, and Verizon didn't put my APT number on the label, so I have to keep an eye out for the driver.

Friend of mine picked up one at Sprint, so we are playing with his.

Am I stupid?

How do you activate this iphone? I did everything on itunes and called *228 but it keeps saying sorry can't activate...
 
It just got delivered 3:30 ET. Can't wait for my sweetheart to get home to open her surprise. She'll either be thrilled or will kill me for spending the money :)!
 
Got mine delivered to my house! Still have to wait to get out of work to play with it. Glad most of you got them already.

What's the first app you all need to have on your phone?

Three iPhones ordered in the AM of the 7th.

Three confirmations received within moments of ordering.

Since then, only one of them was able to be viewed on the status website. Since then, two calls to Verizon have produced extremely mixed results. This morning's call yielded some vague reassurances....the best of which was for my 64gb Black that went something like this: "there are notes in the system for your order, from the 12th that indicate that it was processed and shipped however there is no tracking number associated....this sometimes happens, I'm sure it will arrive today." :rolleyes:

Its now 2:55PM and we've received ONE phone.

One.

FedEx delivered our phones around 2pm. The 4s is a lot of fun! Glad to be back on an iPhone!

Same here!! UPS always delivers in the morning here. Was in the process of writing to say, it still had not shown up.

But, it JUST arrived!!!!! Have faith!
 
Mother *********! I signed a sheet of paper with my name and tracking number on it for the UPS guy and taped it to my door last night. I get home at 3:30 pm today to find a nice little missed delivery sticker saying that a signature is required. I called the number to schedule a pickup tonight, and find out that they were here at 3:07. Now the truck isn't going to get back to the depot until 8 pm. So 23 minutes is costing me 4.5 hours with my new phone. I hate UPS.
 
Got my 2. Activated with no problems.

Now I can go back to seeing what the rest of the world is up to.

My Vzn iPhone is under my mom's name (family share plan), i wonder if the UPS man will want my mom to sign for it and not me? We both have the same address and last name. I hope he doesn't need her to sign it cuz she is never home! :eek: :(

They won't care who signs for it. You'll be fine.

Rest easy brah brah. My mom is the account holder, ordered it on her account, and her name is on the package. I share the same last name as her, and signed for it with no questions asked. You'll be fine, they just need a signature from the address to verify that SOMEONE received it. The name doesn't have to match the person who is on the label.

So, mine has been out since 5:27 on the truck. It's now 5:07, still no package. But at least my wife says she had a very productive day while she waited for it at the house. Here's hoping it gets here before have to leave to go to our school's fallfest tonight!

Yeah mine has been out for delivery since 7:59am and at 5 it went back to in transit :confused::(
 
Still waiting on mine. Too bad UPS usually comes somewhere in the 4-5pm timeframe... Maybe by that time, all the activity on the activation servers will have died down...
 
damn i missed the delivery by fedex. however they will try to reattempt tomorrow. what should i do? try to encourage fedex guy to reattempt today? go to warehouse (30 minutes away), or just wait until tomorrow?
