That was easy! Logged into VZW and order has been submitted! 6S Plus 128GB in Space Gray awaits me!

I just pre-ordered a Rose Gold 128 GB iPhone 6S+ via the Apple Store app on my iphone. I opened a Verizon account a few days ago and I was given the option to get a 2 yr contract, pay monthly via Verizon, or pay full purchase price. I opted for full price since it is interest free on my credit card. It's nice that Apple's servers can handle the load.
The iPhone 6s showed up on the VZW buisness page at 1156 pm. I had a problem when it came to the last page where you enter the credit card number. I had to submit the page 3 times, it kept saying it could not process the card, try again later. The order for a space grey 128gb iPhone 6s plus finally completed at 1159pm. Hopefully the deliver by date of the 25 stands and does not get pushed back.
Since trying to do it through Verizons site was not giving me the option to keep my unlimited data, ordered through the Apple store app on my phone for full retail. But I can flip my 6 for half the cost, so not really sweating it. Happy birthday to me haha
Anyone do the Reservation Pickup in Store? Seems sketchy since it's qualified with "Reservations subject to availability". I reserved 2 and then ordered 1 for delivery.
Ordered 6s Silver 128GB. It was before 2CDT when it came online, but it took me to 2.03CDT to figure all the options and back out of trying to trade, since the promo offering more I'd read about didn't appear to active.
Interestingly I added applecare to it, but they only charged me $99. I foresee a phone call in the future telling me they are charging me more. But maybe they'll honor the price.
Delivers by 9/25. Fingers crossed. Got my confirmation email at 2.03CDT

For those not getting the option to order a subsidized phone through Verizon try using the apple iphone app that is how I got my subsidized phone with verizon.
I do, I had to order the t-mobile one because I kept getting an error saying I need to choose a plan. No way am I losing my UDP.
The phones unlocked anyway and can switch carriers so I'll just swap my iPhone 6 sim card when the 6s comes in.

You are ill-informed. As it says in the article you linked, Verizon has discontinued contracts for NEW customers. Existing customers can still have contracts and subsidized phones.
The problem some of us were experiencing with Verizon's website is that for the 6s and 6s Plus, it was not showing contract pricing--even though it was showing contract pricing for other phones. It was even showing contract pricing via the mobile site before they started taking preorders. Apple was also showing contract pricing.
I ended up ordering my phone from Apple with two-year contract pricing.

When I briefly tried it, there was an option when selecting "upgrade this phone on this vzw account" to "Upgrade different phone on this account"
I had to order from Apple as Verizon's website wasn't allowing me to keep unlimited, at full retail. Chatted with a rep and they told me to order it as a new customer, select a new plan, and when the phone came, call and cancel the new plan. This of course isn't ideal, as it would have required an un-necessary credit check.
I chatted in again afterwards, since Apple's website said there is a 40.00 upgrade fee (even though I paid retail). Verizon said that's incorrect, and also told me that customers with unlimited data need[ed] to call into Telesales to order as the website isn't / wasn't allowing unlimited customers to keep their data (on the website).
Successfully ordered a 6s+ silver 128gb on verizon paying full price and kept my unlimited data plan via the Apple Store. Email confirmation came in at 3:08. I couldn't get into the store until 3:05.
Apple's site said there would be a $40 upgrade fee charged by verizon, which is wrong. Upgrade fee only applies if you accept a subsidy per Verizon's FAQ. I'll have to wait for the next statement to make sure I wasn't actually charged.
Note: do not order the t-mobile version! It doesn't do CDMA which is still necessary on Verizon to fall back to 3G when LTE is not available.
