Apple website wouldn't let me upgrade even though the line is eligible, More Everything plan, not even an old UDP. Interestingly, locked me out with saying VZW password was wrong...even though I can log into VZW. ****ers

It doesn't want your VZW login info. It wants your account password. They are different.
 
Attempted to order the iPhone 6S Plus through the Verizon website but it only allowed the option of Monthly Payment or FULL retail price....

Ordered a Verizon Black iPhone 6S Plus through the Apple Store App and it gave me the option to order under 2 year subsidized pricing of 299!

Verizon has failed yet again with a iPhone preorder.. UGH...
 
Can't get the data plans on VZ as expected. Have family share plan without data now. Just dumb phones. When I did the dry run the site gave me the option to move to the small, med, large, etc data. Now I'm stuck. I give up. Will wait and try a phone call tomorrow.
 
Completed my order without issue at around 3:10AM EST. 64GB 6S in silver and delivering on 9/25. I paid outright because I'm not eligible for upgrade pricing until September 25th of next year, but during the checkout process I got this message:

What does this mean? I assume it's their obligation to say, "Hey you still gotta pay Verizon monthly for the remainder of your contract." But later in the process it mentioned something about a $40 upgrade fee. Did I just use my upgrade or does Verizon hit you up for an additional $40 if you buy a device outright?
The $40 charge is wrong since you're paying retail.
 
is anyone getting through from a computer on apple.com? I'm still getting the message about our virtual stores are about to open
 
It doesnt let me choose another line. Its like my number its pre loaded into that field and I cant erase it
Right after you choose your phone color and storage, scroll down to account and choose 'replace another phone on existing carrier account'.

I just chatted with aomeone and they said to look out for an email that says "your phone will be shipped on ___ date" and then call 1-800-922-0204 after to change the address.
 
i need to do an upgrade transfer to keep my UDP, so I have to upgrade via verizon. only see the installment and full price options. chatted with customer service rep who was not helpful and insisted that i'd have to upgrade my UDP line and choose a new plan, then switch the phone over. said that customer service might be able to help me and transferred me, only to hang up on me instead. NOT helpful

Yeah that's what I was told. I feel a little better that more than one chat person said that. I don't need it shipping to Ohio when I live in Boston...
 
Was able to order about 5 mins earlier than expected. A bit of a pleasant surprise and their website didn't seem to get hammered like I thought it would.

One thing that worried me was that my line access discounts didn't show at checkout. I have $25 discount per line(for being on the edge plan) but didn't register at checkout for some reason. Anyone run into this? Wondering if they're taking away the line discount now with a new device purchase for some reason? Called Verizon and was on hold for 30mins so just placed the order and figured I will give them a call tomorrow when it isn't so busy haha

Yep! Preordered on the device payment plan and they wiped out my discount. After they told a bunch of us we'd still get the discount. I'll be calling them tomorrow.
 
And that $25 thing...I don't believe it will show up under your plan as mine doesn't currently. It shows up separate in the discounts and promotions table under all of the lines. I would worry too much bc I guess it's for customers who have the monthly payment plan with the more everything plan since the fee is 40 originally.

When I do it that way, after I enter in all the info, it takes me to a page saying something about VZW may charge me a deposit. I can't go anywhere from that page
 
Successfully ordered a 6s+ silver 128gb on verizon paying full price and kept my unlimited data plan via the Apple Store. Email confirmation came in at 3:08. I couldn't get into the store until 3:05.

Apple's site said there would be a $40 upgrade fee charged by verizon, which is wrong. Upgrade fee only applies if you accept a subsidy per Verizon's FAQ. I'll have to wait for the next statement to make sure I wasn't actually charged.

Note: do not order the t-mobile version! It doesn't do CDMA which is still necessary on Verizon to fall back to 3G when LTE is not available.

I ordered about 10 minutes ago on verizon under my wife's account.

The t-mobile version doesn't have CDMA? That doesn't sound right.
 
Ordered 64GB Space Grey 6s from Verizon's site. My current contract is up 9.20. Will be delivered 9.25.

The only wrinkle in ordering is that they are charging me $40 a month "monthly device access charge". They announced last month that they were dropping the monthly device access charge from 40 to 20. So why are they screwing me?

I couldn't select one of those new-fangled S M L XL plans either. I was stuck with the same plan I've had for the last two years: "Everything More 2GB data". I paid full price for the phone, in installments, so I wouldn't be locked into another two-year contract.

But I have a feeling that I will be sending the phone back to them and telling them to stick it where the sun don't shine if they don't rectify that monthly device access nonsense.
 
I have a VZW business account. Has anyone thought of ordering a iPhone under the full price option, Selecting verizon as the carrier and then canceling the plan once the iPhone is received? The VZW portal always gives me issues and last year they messed up our order.

I'm doing this. I have a Verizon employee account and I can't upgrade using their website or apple's. So I opened a new account, paid for the full retail price, and I'm planning on canceling service as soon as I get it and then putting the device on my account.
