Thanks for sharing your experience. I have a "regular" account, I think, but I do get a discount based on my employer. That said, I don't think it's considered a business account because the account is in my name and the only tie to my company is that I simply get a discount on my personal account. Do you think calling in is the only option?

I think I'm going to call in shortly before midnight PST and "get in line", but also try to work it through the website and whichever method is successful first will be fine with me. At least this way I have multiple bases covered.

You should be fine. I have a password on my account that the employer setup, so it's probably a different scenario from you. I'd say you have the right idea. Calling is best the rep told me.

How long before midnight does the Apple Store app come back up? I was having some problems entering my Verizon password to get everything set up, and now the app is "getting ready." Will it be back up before the launch, or do I have to wait until post launch to figure out my password issue?

Most likely at midnight PST

I have a VZW business account. Has anyone thought of ordering a iPhone under the full price option, Selecting verizon as the carrier and then canceling the plan once the iPhone is received? The VZW portal always gives me issues and last year they messed up our order.

VZW's business site worked great for me last year. It took about 45 minutes to get it ordered from being hammered, but it did work for me.

This year, I need to order it at full price (not contract). Can you order it full price from Apple if you have a VZW Business account? I was hoping to be able to go either way when the stores come back up.

Couldn't you get your password figured out from VZW's website now and then use it for Apple's site when it comes back up?

I know my password on Verizon's site, and have confirmed that it works to log in. The Apple Store app wasn't accepting it for whatever reason.

you need to use your verizon billing password to verify which is different than your password for the verizon site.

If it helps you remember, it might well be a 4 digit PIN like number. Its what the reps ask you for when you CALL IN to customer service. I know ours is a 4 digit pin, whereas the password on the website is a full alphanumeric password.

Last year the VZW Business site had issues for about 1.5 hours....Logging in early isn't the issue...it's the entire purchase process.

For all the new comers to Verizon, they have a pretty good system and with the two iPhones I pre-ordered from them I have never had an issue. My 6 Plus arrived launch day, and my iPhone 4 ended up arriving 3 days early. With the 6 Plus I wasn't able to get in until an hour afterwards, not because of their system but their employees. I was told I would have to wait until the phone went on sale to push my upgrade 3 weeks, and that an advisor in the appropriate department would call me. They never did. Luckily, I was able to just buy it at full price an hour after they went on sale and while my first option was gone (Plus, Space Gray, 64GB) my 2nd option was still available (Plus, Silver, 64GB). This was a full hour after pre-orders started and I got it launch day.

Just make sure you have your three models picked out (the one you want, the 2nd option, and the 3rd option). Personally, this year I don't care if I have to wait a month I am getting Space Gray this year.

might be a dumb question but when you log in do you just go to the upgrade section or to the main page and click on iPhone 6s?
I think you can go either way! I would assume it would be smoother if you went from your account to upgrade because the logging in process seems to take longer than showing all of the phones available. I would pick the slowest part first if you get in early! I don't know though I've never used Verizon's website on launch day.
