Verizon orders can get your location code by signing into your account then search for order status and click the link for Check Order Status/Order Tracking. Just a little different information than going to My Verizon/My Orders. My location code is P386501 which is Memphis FedEx.

I see a lot of people talking about the location codes. What is the significance? Does that just allow you to pick it up at FedEx if needed?

I have D106201 I wonder where that's from

No you will not be able to change the shipment at all. The phone will be delivered to provided address and must have a signature. There is no pick up or changing the address. I believe it just shows the location of where your phone will be shipping from.

They have to do with the location of where your phone is shipping from, IIRC. Every location corresponds to a Verizon warehouse, and every warehouse has it's own batch of preorder numbers. For example, I got my order in at 11:57, but have a confirmation in the 232k, which seems high considering most people have under 200k. However, that's just the number of preorders my local Verizon facility (W779001) has processed since their last reset.

EDIT: that's the same location that my 6 Plus order had last year, and it shipped from Louisville with UPS.

Do certain numbers in the preorder confirmation show where the sequence is? (232k in your case). I dont know what my local Verizon facility number is.

They wouldn't even offer me that! They said that was only for new customers. (I have a 5 as well.) Really disappointing. The reps were very nice, but the company did nothing today to make me every buy anything from them again other than service. I kept asking, so why should I buy the phone from you? No one gave me a reason.

Get everything in writing! And I hope you get everything you hope for!
And read the fine print. They will only give you the 200 price if you bought the phone from a verizon store or from their website. Not a reseller, but an official 'brick and mortar' Verizon store.

Actually, I did buy it from them...but that's an interesting extra limitation.

lame ass question, but will changing my 9/25's delivery address push back the delivery date?

Depends on where you ordered from. Usually Apple.com orders can be modified until they ship, but Verizon doesn't allow it and the order must be cancelled resubmitted which could alter the delivery date.

Note: I am speaking from past experience and have no idea how it will work this go around. You best bet is to call whoever you ordered from and ask, but make sure you pose it as a question and tell them not to touch the order. I have had Verizon just do things based on a question without confirming that it was what I wanted before which is why I say that.

That has been my experience too. Apple.com orders can be changed when the status code is in 'processing' but you will get a delay if you ordered from Verizon.com

Correct I was able to change my shipping address to my work from my home address. As I don't know if anyone will be at my house that day.

Yes, it is in order. I bought two phones within 2 mins of each other and for my facility, there were 50 phones in-between them.

Does Verizon usually require at least one attempt at delivery or can I get Fed EX to hold at location once I get tracking information? I wanted it shipped to my work address but it didn't give me the option to change it stated that shipping and billing address must be the same. So I didn't want to mess anything up. With other stuff that has required signatures in past, I often just get it held at the Fed Ex Depot or Fed Ex Office once I got tracking info....same for UPS.

I don't think they will allow you to change shipping address or hold for pickup. Last year I tried to change the address and was told by Verizon and FedEx they could not change anything for this package and a signature would be required for delivery. I have not checked this year but I am sure it will be the same.

That's the preorder number. I was talking about the order number. Preorder confirmations are universal to my knowledge, but the order numbers vary by location. My preorder number is also 16 digits and starts with 142.

If you miss the delivery, can you then pick it up that night at fed ex?

Last year I bought the 6 on my moms phone number and then just switched the lines. (iPhone 6 was on her number, deactivated both phones and switched) now this was at the Apple Store on launch weekend. Luckily there was a Verizon dude to handle all of it. Now I pre ordered the 6S on my dads phone number via Apple.com (parents aren't tech savvy, I take their contract and give them my old phone. They don't care) Now, when the phones comes, do I activate it on my dads number and then deactivate and try to activate it on my number? I, not sure if I can make it to a Verizon store on the 25, let alone that weekend b/c I'm going out of town. Any suggestions on how to do this without going to the Verizon store?

Thank you!!
