Interesting, thanks! So if I order directly from Apple (which I haven't done before), will I have the option to upgrade with the subsidized price online and renew my 2 year contact? The only reason i want to go through Verizon is because my wife's line has the upgrade and I have unlimited data, and I usually order with her upgrade and then activate on my line so as to keep UDP.

Oh, absolutely call Verizon first to make sure you are maximizing all of that! I ended up speaking to both Apple AND Verizon twice (three times) each today to make sure I understood what was available to me and what wasn't. As far as Verizon goes, remember that sometimes the sales person doesn't know the nuances of your specific account, so make sure you speak with customer service to verify what you are expecting, even if sales says it's not possible. For example, sales said that I wasn't eligible for a straight monthly plan; when I called customer service (loonnnng wait), I found out that I *was* as long as I changed how I was billed. Ultimately, though, for me, it is about the same price to do Apple Upgrade/purchase outright than anything Verizon will give me, so I decided to go the Apple route, even though I haven't decided which option yet.

Sorry to go on for so long! But this has been my Saturday!

I have seen the questions about the wording on the order pages that say either ships by or delivers by. Here is what happened on the iPhone 5

EDIT: Everyone freaking out about the wording "Shipping on 9/21" or whatever it says DON'T WORRY. Your phone will arrive on the 21st. The same thing happened last year.

Update: Use the following link to check your order status as it has been confirmed to be much more reliable/up-to-date: https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/iconic/screens/IconicSearchInit.do

Update #2: You will not see any changes on your order status until Tuesday or Wednesday, possibly even as late as Thursday because that is when your phones will ship out to all of those who pre-ordered. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

Thanks, I really appreciate the help. I also have to consider that I'll be trading in a 5 to Verizon (currently offering 200 for it, which is 100 more than anyone else).

For all of you who pre-ordered through verizon and live in an apartment. On the email that verizon sends out once you've done your pre-order, where it says "Ship to" do you see your apt number? I see my address but my apt number is missing. Im not sure if its just the way its set up or that I didnt type it and left it out mmmm

My apartment number is listed on mine.

They wouldn't even offer me that! They said that was only for new customers. (I have a 5 as well.) Really disappointing. The reps were very nice, but the company did nothing today to make me every buy anything from them again other than service. I kept asking, so why should I buy the phone from you? No one gave me a reason.

Get everything in writing! And I hope you get everything you hope for!

Wow. That's really surprising. I have an email from Verizon about the 200 trade-in. I'll definitely call to more to straighten out the puma net issue and confirm the trade-in value as well.

I don't doubt that since the store launch date is in two weeks.

Ah, memories. This is the link that's working for me (older link doesn't work for me -- at least on mobile).

OK. I'm going to go check my spam folder for the last week and see if I missed something.

Are you guys seeing anything more than this on Verizon order status?

Product(s):
4G 4FF PRE-INSTALLED SIM
Apple® iPhone® 6s 64GB in Silver
Status:
Your order is currently being processed. Please check back later.

Yeah, both my orders are currently showing this same thing. I don't think we'll see any movement until the week of the 21st.

I just got off the phone with Verizon rep and they offered me a "more everything more everything boil tea loyalty" plan for $100 per month for 20GB, $20 per line on top of that, BUT a $25 per Month per line discount that continued after the devices were paid off.

My math says that's an awesome deal. She said there was just a special offer on my account when I called in.

Add in my 18% discount from my employer and that's awesome.

I signed up and I'm pleased.

Anyone else experience special offers like this?

I'm on a similar plan that I got on a discount shortly after the More Everything Plans came out, 30GB for $130. Still works out to be a better deal then when we had everyone on the UDDs. Then my employer gets 20% off. My line access is $40/month, but $15/month for every line on DPP or OOC.

most likely there wont be any movement until late next week when it should really pick up.

I ordered a Space gray 16gb 6s Plus, Rose Gold 16gb 6s Plus and a Space Gray 64gb 6s Plus. Ordered at 2:47 am CST and my expected ship date is the 30th :( thru VZ

I ordered a Gold 6s plus 128gb through VZW with a 9/25 date. At the time of order it said it had to be shipped to billing address. Will VZW change it to my work address? I know I probably wont be at home. Or does anyone know if VZW requires one attempted deliver or if I can just have it held at Fed EX once I get tracking?

My apartment number is listed on mine.

I wonder if my apartment number isn't showing, because we did it differently. You know how sometimes it gives you two boxes for your address, address line 1 and address line 2, so I typed part of my address in line 1 and then the apartment number in address line 2. I always thought they did this in case the address was too long or something. This is how I always do it so I hope I didn't mess it up.

So this is my first pre order through Verizon, does anyone know the carrier used? Last time I preordered getting it was a fiasco. I would like to try and be home or set up other options if I can depending on who delivers them.

TIA

Last year I ordered my 6+ through verizon and it was delivered by FedEx.

Yeah, I have a pretty short address and usually put it all on one line. Thats probably it.

I'm debating if I should cancel my order with Verizon though. I got the Silver iphone 6s and I have always had the space gray iPhone 6s, so there is a chance I'll be returning the silver. I know Verizon charges a restocking fee and I see the Apple store's still showing the iphone 6s silver delivery date by 09/25, that way if I exchange it I won't have to pay any extra money. How accurate is the delivery date on Apple's website?

The whole reason why I didnt pre-order through apple was cuz it was a new account and the website was not up yet at 3 am, new accounts are not processed through the Apple app, so I had to do it through Verizon. decisions.

Just called (had to because online didn't give me option to renew for 2 years at discounted price) to order a 64gb 6S+ in Silver. Delivery date no later than 10/7, which is totally fine with me. Gives me more time to prepare and buy case/screen protector, etc. I was most shocked that the guy said they would credit the 40 dollar upgrade fee once I activated the device. Just had to call in. He noted account. I didn't even ask for that.

Are you sure your Verizon confirmation email says delivers 9/25 and not ships by 9/25? Mine says the latter, for some reason. Ordered 15 minutes before preorders were supposed to open.

Yeah just double checked, it says deliver by 9/25

Edit: But when I click check order status it says ships 9/25 hmmmm

Wait, they charge a re-stocking fee? What if you cancel before it ships?
