Verizon.com: Preorder thread

Ordered 128 6S+ Gold at 3PM Eastern Time 9/12. Status changed from processing to Pending here as well.
 
received my tracking info this morning. was picked up in west chester, pa with a 9/25 delivery date. nothing real exciting but they're starting to move.
 
My order status was just changed:

Expected Delivery Date: 09/19/2015

That's today! Is this an error?

Yep, mine was the 18th then the 19th - basically what I think happened was the phone became available for shipping, it "shipped", but there's an additional shipping order for "Future Delivery" on the 24th, so it went into the hands of the shipper, and I guess it sits in a truck, a plane, a staging warehouse (whatever), until the day Apple says it can be released, which is the 24th (they're shipped using one day service):

Yep. All the same like last year. Apple puts UPS and FedEx under strict orders, stiff fines if not followed, to hold all orders in shipping centers until launch day.

Weird feeling, isn't it.. to know your new phone actually exists and is just sitting in a shipping center for another week.. Lol!

I chose the device payment option and was charged the tax. Has anyone seen the tax charge hit their account yet because I have not. I know with ordering from Apple.com, they charge you when your device ships so it does not hit until closer to the delivery date. Anyone with experience know if this is the norm ordering through VZW?

I was actually charged right when I placed my order around 8am the day reservations opened up. It's my second phone I'm doing under the edge agreement. I believe it's how I was charged last time for the 6 Plus.

Before every launch of a new iPhone I always tell myself that there's an iphone already boxed and waiting to arrive at my house because I generally pre order most of the time there is a newer phone coming out. It's a cool feeling none the less. I agree
 
I received my tracking number, I noticed while tracking the phone it requires a indirect signature. But managing the delivery is greyed out at the top. I don't know if I'm going to be home to sign for the package on Friday. What can I do?

Fill out the note I left earlier in the thread and put it on your door.
 
This is where the wacky pathing goes. My phone went from West Chester, PA to Newark, NJ. My guess is it will go back to West Chester, PA at some point.

From what I'm told you can call Verizon and they will send a change of address along with the package. I have to what time mine is to be delivered by so I can reroute to work if necessary.
 
I just got on the Verizon site to look at the current shipping dates just out of curiosity. Apparently the Rose Gold 64gb plus is still arriving on 10/07.

Either I have a good chance of getting mine early or I really did wake up on the 12th for no reason :confused:

How long did it take from the time you saw the delivery date changed to the 19th until you got your delivery email?

Im trying to figure out if we can find the tracking info on the fedex website using the phone number or something before we get the shipped email.
 
Verizon just charged me for my 128GB 6s+. As others have seen, also delivery expected today, so I imagine it is now moving.

Same happen to me today. Chase card problem, VZW reran charge now shows USPS shipping.
 
Haven't been charged yet. Gold 6S+ order with a 9/25 delivery date. Ordered at 12AM

For those of you with payment errors, how did you know? Does your order status say so? Do you get an email? Did you find out on your own after contacting Verizon?
