How did you get 200 for your iphone 5 through verizon?

Since this is a special Promo for the new iPhone, you can't find the "PROMO" trade values on the VZ site,only the regular trade values, which are much lower. I called again this morning, and told them I wanted some type on confirmation on my trade; here's an email they just sent me:

Thinking back to the 5s launch, there was a good long line, but it was NOTHING like last year. With the 5s I rolled out of bed at 8am, went to the store, got in line and got what I wanted. Last year I got to the store at 3am and the ran out of 6Pluses two people after me.

Here is my theory: Apple pushed the release date further away from the pre-order date to try and have more phones available on launch. Usually they have a 1-2 week delay within a few hours online, it took a lot longer for times in general to slip. I don't think that has anything to do with decreased demand, but rather the extra time they allotted between the pre-order date and the release date.
 
That didnt work for me. Using that link STILL does not find my order. I used this link. You need the preorder number not the MD order number. If you dont have it, you can call, it is attached to your phone number.

Yeah calling 611 on your verizon phone will get you to someone that can look. I called yesterday to just make sure everything was good (I ordered at 12am PD, was very tired and not 100% I did everything correctly) and they were able to locate the order, and answer all the questions I had.
 
I was up at 3 am, placed my order. Went to bed. Got up at 7am and looked at my confirmation email. NOOO! I ordered the wrong one for my wife, a 6S+ instead of a 6S. Called them and told them that my phone was right, but hers was wrong, and that I would need to change it. Puts me on hold, comes back and says "Ok, I cancelled your order so you can place a new order now"... for both of them... No way to reinstate that order!

So he puts the correct phones through. I make sure it's on contract price. He verifies. Hang up. Finally get confirmation email and he had put it through as monthly payment plan. Call back again. All they can do is cancel the order and start over, again. This time it's the right phones, but I get the confirmation email and she didn't put the phones on the right phone lines. I'll just fix that when they come I guess.

So instead of 9/25 like the initial 3am email said, mine says deliver by 9/30. Absolutely terrible customer service reps. If only I'd been more awake when I placed the initial order :confused:
 
why blame the reps when you put the order in wrong yourself? They have protocols they have to follow and maybe thats the process they had to follow by cancelling and starting over and with the demand and craziness of pre order they probably didn't have much options. Maybe you should have paid attention and ordered the correct phone the first time

Nah, you'll see it on the 25th. The confirmation said the same thing when I ordered the 6 but I got it on the release day.
 
It's a bit dumb that I can't order mine today. I'm eligible for an upgrade on 9/19/2015. The device ships on the 25th so why can't Verizon just take my order today? They're saying I can't order until the 19th but by then, shipping estimates are probably going to slip 2-3 weeks on all models.
 
Ordered 2x 6s Plus 128gb @ 3:02am EST. if my memory serves me right, the order location plays a part in your ship date. My order location is basically Memphis, TN. So if you location sold out a model quickly, you would have a delayed date. This happened with the IPhone 6 last year and ordering directly from VZW. It was bad last year. Lol.

Yeah, location code must make a difference... I ordered the 64gb Space Grey 6s early at 7:55am on the 12th, my daughter the 64gb Rose Gold 6s at 9:49pm on the 13th, both with location code D771001, Long Island, NY, both have a deliver by date of 9/25.

I have the same location code but I live in Manhattan. I wonder which distribution center serves us since people here keep talking about phones coming from Memphis and even Ontario. Not sure what any of it means.o_O

I remember last year someone figure out a tracking method for Verizon using a weird link called iconic something or other but I can't remember the details.

Call them. With the end of contract so close, they have done it for me up to 2 weeks out.

When FEDEX leaves alaska they usually go to Memphis first. Then the phones go out to you. Sometimes they go to Ontario CA and not Memphis. Then they get distributed from there. These were usually West coast deliveries though.

I have seen the questions about the wording on the order pages that say either ships by or delivers by. Here is what happened on the iPhone 5

EDIT: Everyone freaking out about the wording "Shipping on 9/21" or whatever it says DON'T WORRY. Your phone will arrive on the 21st. The same thing happened last year.

Update #2: You will not see any changes on your order status until Tuesday or Wednesday, possibly even as late as Thursday because that is when your phones will ship out to all of those who pre-ordered. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

My location code is for Memphis, TN and I am 2 hours from Memphis. Doesn't matter if it comes from Ontario, Long Island, or Memphis as long as its on the 25th ;)
