Ordered a plus space grey 64GB at 12:15am cause of website issues. Email says delivery by the 30th but I'm not sweating it since I reserved an appointment at 9am at my local Apple Store. If the order status doesn't change by next week on Wednesday I'll cancel it and go to the appointment. I plan to pick up the phone at full price. Not even the payment plan.

yeah same here, i placed my first order on saturday night, the 12th but then had a few problems with the shipping address, and the part where i need to actually "cancel" my order and place a new one in order to fix the address issue is just ridiculous.. so my finally successful order was placed in the morning on the 13th. = =

I don't know why everyone is having this problem, I was able to call up and they submitted the change to change my shipping address without canceling my order.

That's odd. I called Verizon to see if fedex would allow for shipping mods. She said sure. I was told my other option was to cancel and reorder using a different address.

The order has not and probably will not ship till next week so they can change the shipping address

Side question for anyone that knows. This is my first preorder. I had to give a credit card for the sales tax after upgrading to the device payment plan. Assuming these are shipped next Wed or Thurs for a delivery date of 9/25, when will I see the charge for shipping?
 
Considering how inconstant they are, if you call back again, they'll probably ask you what size pizza you want ...
I'm telling you, for the money this company has, you would think they could all be on the same page.

From what I gather around the middle of next when the device actually ships.
 
Just finished a chat with a rep. He said he tried to modify the order but the system wont let him do anything with it. I wonder if your orders got canceled and ordered again and managed to slip in to the same time frame.


I was able to change mine without any problems as well

Called again. Same story. Must cancel and reorder the device with the modified info.
Same info from me. He said when he creates a ticket to have the order updated, they actually cancel the original order and re-create the order with the correct address.

I do not feel like waiting. I have been hoarding my money for this since tax season, I will just figure something out. They told me earlier I could have it changed once Fed Ex has it. I do not know if that is true. Has anyone tried leaving a note for the driver to deliver it to a neighbor?

Last year I left a note on my door for the Fed Ex guy to just leave the package by door, along with my shipping conf and signature. I'll bet you can call Fed Ex once you get a tracking number to some how modify how the package is shipped.

I will do that. Hopefully I will have a few days lead time to sort any issues. The last time I tried this was with UPS and I missed the delivery. They told me to go to the depot that night. Waited two hours only to have the guy at the counter say he couldn't help me. It wasn't the first time he had heard my story that night.

Good luck!! It's worth a try anyways. Hope it works out for you! Please don't take what I said about calling FedEx to modify shipping as the Gospel truth though haha

Nah. I always welcome possible options though. I will see what FE says.

Last year I was told by Verizon that I could change the shipping address. They tried and said I would have to cancel and replace the order. I said no thank you. I was then told by Verizon that I should be able to change it with the carrier once I get my tracking number. This was not correct either. Speaking with FedEx they said they were very strict on not moding any shipping details and that it would be shipped to the address provided to them and would require a signature. I had to take off work and drive an hour to wait on the package all day.

When it is shipped, check the tracking info.

If it says indirect signature then you can leave a note. If it says direct signature required then you have to sign. I have never had a VZW phone show up with direct signature required though. I always left a note.
