Verizon Freaking Delivered with LTE, I am not sure how att can top this...

Why so much arguing? No matter what AT&T might have in the future, right now Verizon has lte out and working. Maybe AT&T will catch up and surpass Verizon, maybe they won't. Doesn't change the fact that Verizon has fast lte out right now.
If history holds true, AT&T won't catch up to Verizon where coverage is concerned. They may release a later version of LTE when the roll it out and jump ahead in speed....time will tell.
Until then, jav will continue to find reasons to dis Verizon whether there is good reason to or not.
Because he's an Apple fanboy, and the iPhone doesn't offer it, and if Apple doesn't offer it it sucks and is useless.

This thread makes me want to get a thunderbolt 4G just to be grandfathered into unlimited data and use the phone till VZW releases a LTE iphone!
This was a speedtest from user Milan03 in the thread above with a ThunderBolt. Crazy FAST!
I didn't post that but I do have a Thunderbolt and I have seen my phone hits speeds in the upper 30's but I have heard and seen others hit that number so I know that number is accurate for 4G. Its may be hard to believe but its real. Go to youtube and you can watch people's phone do it with your own eyes.
I can (re) confirm that you can certainly get speeds like that with LTE.
Low latency (quick pings), high upload and high download speeds.
Note - someone just released an app for the 4G Thunderbolt so LTE can be turned off, apparently battery life is a scant 4 hours with it turned on. Those high speeds come with a price.
Much optimization remains.

Makes perfect sense. It's common to love a product, but hate the company that delivers it. There's more to a company than just their product.
I suppose that could be the case but how in the hell could anyone possibly like at&t then? I think the only reason they are as successful as they are is because of the iphone, if it wasn't for that they might have went under or sold out themselves. I don't understand why anyone would hate Verizon but if they did I sure would not support their company by using their product. Even if you take a hit in performance, your still giving them your business so ultimately they win!
Since your precious iPhone can't enjoy these speeds on at&t, you have to hate on Verizon! Good for VZW for giving the customer truly fast Unlimited 4G LTE speeds with Unlimited CDMA Backup of 3.1MBps AND AGAIN ALL UNLIMITED.................

I agree with the other poster. I hope your speeds were off a regular phone. I just really doubt it.
Seems incredibly higher than anything we have seen anywhere.
Like I have said, I have seen 25-30 daily but I have had days I hit 40 so I think 50 is very possible in the right conditions. I don't know why this is so hard for people to believe. You can find hundred's of youtube video's of people doing it time after time.
Well, yes, and that's why people who know what's coming with LTE are excited about it!
