Does anyone know if I will need to call VZW or if I can do the following myself without having to contact them? I ordered my 16PM with an upgrade that was available on another family members line. With the 16PM using eSim it looks like it's already pre-activated with the other family members phone number. How do I go about changing the eSim to my number? Are there some sort of prompts when first turning on the 16PM to choose a different eSim for it to connect to or do I need to either call or go to a local VZW store to get them to change it? Should I keep the 16PM turned off when I get it until the eSim account is switched? Thanks!

EDIT: I too got a shipping notification for my 16PM and a tracking number through FedEx...Delivery on VZW's website says 9/24, FedEX says it's being dilevered on Friday the 20th. They also have a note saying the shipper asked them to hold it until 9/20.

The phone will activate on the number it was ordered against. If your family member has an iPhone you can just transfer the eSIM back to their phone though the iPhone settings. Or call Verizon after it’s activated and they will move things around for you. Either way, you will have to activate the phone first and then get things moved around.

Got my tracking this morning, showed up on Fedex and now it disappeared from Fedex and Verizon App now says they will notify me when it ships...

Any one had luck with having your order delivered and held at the UPS Hub?
My experience is that they need to make one attempt to deliver to the address on file and then you may be able to choose “Hold at UPS” using the door tag number.

However, these Apple shipments are a little wonky and signature requirements can be a little stricter it seems to me.

I had same experience few years back with a phone. I had day off work just would been faster to go to town and pick it up then wait for ups that’s always around 4pm and they wouldn’t hold it for at ups.

Signature will be required. I’m having mine sent to my office. The mail room will sign for it.

I haven't purchased a phone from Verizon using an offer in a really long time now and hoping someone can help me understand the behind the scenes on these trade in deals.

I have a fully paid off iphone 14 Pro 256GB. The offer is $1000 to trade in for an iPhone 16 Pro 256GB where it looks like I will only owe about $100 spread over 36 months. So what's the catch? That's the part I can't figure out.

On unlimited ultimate, travel a lot so really get use out of the international inclusions there. We've been with Verizon for about 20 years and really have no plan to change. But mainly want to know about the catch just in case we do end up wanting to change.

Verizon will take pretty much any smartphone as trade in for that same amount. Doesn’t even have to work. I traded in an old 5s. Buy an old phone to trade in, and sell your 14 separately

UPS now says they have my package, show it on PA with delivery Friday the 20th. Also shows the port of my google voice number went through when I check the status on Verizon page. Everything looking good!

Thanks I'll check that again. It looked to me as if they would only give like $50 for my great condition iPhone X but will give it another shot. With all that said, is there even a catch to this? Worst case if I decide I want to bail would I just be out the remaining cost of the iPhone 16 Pro?

Wow you weren't kidding. Still shows the $1k off even with the iPhone X. Thanks.

Maybe I got more because I was adding a line? That’s probably it

Anyone with a delivery date after launch ever been bumped to earlier in the week? I'm slated for Monday 9/30. Hoping to have arrival prior to the weekend. Anyone with experience or wishful thinking?

Just found some verbiage on the Verizon web site that now gives me a bit of pause in regards to this any phone will do for $1000 upgrade.

"For upgrades, phone must be active on account for 60 days prior to trade in".

I'm all the way to where it will actually allow me to process the $1k upgrade with an iPhone X that has not been on my account for 2 years but concerned if I go through with it that I'm going to end up with a bad deal after all. I can't find anything in the process that calls this out other than some tiny text in the offer on the front page of the web site. Nothing else calls this out that I have found once you're inside the upgrade page, document review, etc. It actually states the opposite "We will give you $1k for your iPhone X" (paraphrasing).

Anyone actually done this before and worked out ok? I can chat or call I suppose just thought I'd check here first. Thanks.
