iPhone will have the 3G Mobile Hotspot app pre-installed, and it will also have other popular apps available in the market such as VZ Navigator, and V CAST Media Manager.

What if I don't want those Verizon Apps, can I remove them?

Verizon will never release iPhone, this is an evil rumor by WSJ. Apple would never let someone else announce their product.

Only Mobile hotspot is 'pre-installed'. It's part of the OS, it's not an app. The verizon apps will be completely up to you. The phone has 0 verizon branding as well.

Just like the AT&T iphone.

Exactly, do we have to live with vzw crapware. I cannot remove them from my doid without rooting the phone.

If I were a betting man, I'd say no, you'll not be able to remove them.

It's still strange how that impacts the Memory Capacity. I can install Apps and it does not impact it....but Verizon installs an App, and the memory capacity goes down 2GB. Something is not right here.

Although eventually WSJ got it correct, they got their predictions wrong several times.. can't remember when they first predicted the Verizon iPhone, I think they said it was supposed to come out last summer lol.

There are NO pre-installed verizon apps.

If it's a special version of the OS with the apps built-in (ie, installed as part of the OS), it may report that space differently. A good way to test would be to check the space on an apple store demo unit.
