Hey, maybe now people can stop complaining about it!

Oh wait, they'll find something else to complain about.

It seems there have been some antenna changes to the design with an additional antenna break in the casing.

The new antenna design was leaked in an early video that was later removed by Apple. The new design has moved the antenna break position from the top to the sides of the device. The change may simply be to accommodate CDMA's different communication frequency rather than address the antenna issue from the original design.

Oh, the non-problem/non-issue, learn to hold your phone right-handed or at the top only thing? They quietly fixed that non-existent problem? Gee, what a shock.

In a surprise move, Verizon is allowing the iPhone 4 to be a mobile Mi-Fi device that can share its 3G connection to up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices. This means your laptop can share your iPhone's 3G internet connection when a regular connection is not available. However, as a CDMA device, you won't be able to use your 3G internet connection and Voice at the same time.

Looks like Verizon is taking aim at the areas people hate from AT&T to steal their customers. Too bad it sounds like you're stuck with AT&T if you already bought an iPhone 4 since they are incompatible. I guess AT&T will be keeping a lot of customers until the next model comes out and/or contracts expire. I don't see any announcements that T-Mobile will be getting iPhones (now there you could use the same phone).

I need to figure out away to get the 199 price, 599 for this phone is way overpriced. Im thinking of going to att, cancel verizon and pay the fee, then within the 30 days of att trial, cancel and get the iphone back on verizon for the 199 and they refund yor cancelation fee. Sound about right?

What exactly changed to fix it? The part you touch that caused the issue is still there. So what makes you think they "quietly fixed" it?

No. Why would they refund your cancelation fee? Don't forget you will have to pay an activation fee on top of your ETF so it is probably not going to be worth all the hassle.

ATT does that, I thought verizon did too, If you come back as a customer within a month they will refund the cancel fee

But to do what he wants...act as a new activation...he'll have to wait over 30 days. I actually thought it was 60.

yeah, but if you wait a week and then try it, you would only have the ATT phone for 3 weeks, then return, get iphone on Verizon and refund of the etf

1) Good bye AT&T, thanks for the $700 roaming bill from 20 MB of data.
2) Hello Verizon, what's up?
3) 90% decrease in Android users - After all, many were bound by carrier.

So have no phone for a week?

nope, here is the steps

1. I have a verizon inc now only 8 months into contract which means the iphone would cost me $599, NOT WORTH IT, $200 is worth it
2. go to att next week and get any phone and port my number over. This now cancels my verizon contract and I will get a bill including an ETF for about $300
3. when the new iphone comes out, cancel ATT because I am still in the 30 days to terminate for free and then go back to verizon by buying the 199 iphone which should also credit my ETF back because i am a returning customer within 30 or 60 days.

still trying to figure out if Verizon does that with the etf

Sorry, that won't happen. They won't give you the subsidized price again like that.

that sucks, i got away with that on att, I guess they were more desperate for the business at the time, LOL

I had to buy my iphone for $499.00 + tax $530 but at list I capt the $30 unlimited data,
I am going to buy the Verizon iphone but only the 16GB now I have the 32GB but hardly used 3GB.
will keep the sim on anther phone until the end of the contract.

Can't talk and use data at the same time! I'll stick with AT&T! T-Mobile and Sprint on sometime soon! Time for prices to come down on cell service!

i would LOVE to get the new one, I just don't understand why they don't drop the full price 7 months later, the iPhone 4 came out last June/july correct? And they still want us to pay $600/$700 for the hardware if we cannot upgrade. I think thats a little ridiculous IMO. At least knock a hundred or 2 off for existing users to give them some sort of deal

hmm im a little lost lol. Verizon said there would be no early upgrade. I called about 3 weeks ago because 2 of my lines were not upgradable until AUGUST 2011 and MAY 2011. I just called and for some reason both contracts were moved up. The first one was moved up until february 16th, which puts me in the 30 day "exception" window so I have no ETF :). The second line was put up until early april which makes it not to far out. sweeeet

Great! Now I'll have to decide if I get one now or wait until spring/summer to see what happens with iPhone 5. I'll probably wait. It will give me time to see how the Verizon network handles the iPhone traffic.

I now understand this move in February for Verizon!!! Read on....
I like many other Verizon Wireless devotees and Apple Fanboys eagerly anticipated the release of the Verizon iPhone ( I still have the LG 8600). I would be the first in line to purchase a Verizon iPhone 4, but when the press released the details, it seems that there were no improvements. I wished that there was a 32GB entry model, the rumored 8MP Sony Camera, and 1080P recording, because I just really want an all in one device an do not want to carry around a camera anymore. Unfortunately there were no hardware improvements. But I realized why Tim Cook deflected many questions about how many iPhone 4's will be shipped and LTE. It is because for the first 4-5 months of production, the 16GB and 32GB models will be sold for $199 and $299, respectfully. But in June/July the iPhone 5 will be released on BOTH carriers. This will then allow the iPhone 4, at say 8GB or 16GB, to drop by $100. The Verizon iPhone 4 will be $99 in June/July. Therefore Verizon, like ATT will have a low end and a high end option, catering to price conscience consumers. It makes perfect sense. Therefore there is no waste in production/development of the iPhone 4 for Verizon. That is why Tim Cook said "Verizon customers want the iPhone NOW!" ....and we do, but I for one am willing to wait for the iPhone 5. Apple will maximize profits for 4-5 months on the iPhone 4 for Verizon from February to June/July. What do you guys think?

Makes sense. I just don't know what to do. If Verizon can't grant me the stupid phone for $199 and I'm forced to get it for $599 cause of my overrated upgrade which makes no sense, then I'm gonna tell Verizon to go you know where and just wait until June.

I think you are forgetting that you are in a contract because they subsidized your last phone. They are not just going to forget about that.
