hi everyone

(Goal is to keep my ULD on my phone my wife eh)

would anyone know if this plan works

i have 3 iphones with ULD all 3 are eligible. 2 dumb phones

my wife doesnt use that much data maybe 1gb, I use about 9gb, i was planning on upgrading her number to the iphone 6 and then taking it for myself and giving her my 5s.

which is a better option

1. wait in-line at a apple store friday, get the phone take the sim card out and replace it with mine and have them give me a new sim card for my 5s.

2. order the phone online using her upgrade and bring it to verizon and have them switch the two phones to the correct numbers/plans?

As long as the line that has unlimited is not actually using an upgrade, you will keep the unlimited. If you do an alternate upgrade and switch the phone over, you're fine.

Illustration:

Family Plan: Line 1 - 2 - 3

Line 1 has unlimited

Line 2 does not and has an upgrade.

Use an alternate upgrade on Line 1 based on the eligibility of Line 2. Basically, (the computer does all this) it's upgrading Line 2 to the iPhone 6, then switching it to Line 1, then moving the old phone back onto Line 2.

I did this process when the iPhone 5 came out. I remember after switching there was a waiting period from when i activated the phone on the upgraded line and switching it to my line with ULD because of the new mini sim cards it used.

Do you think this will be the same case? As I do plan on doing this process again.

I am still confusing here.

Here's my story.

Line 1 - Unlimited Smartphone Data (No Upgrade Eligible)

Line 2 - 2GB Smartphone Data (Upgrade Eligible)

I want to use iPhone 6 on Line 1 with Unlimited Data.

I am going to order iPhone 6 with Line 2 with discounted price, and when I receive the phone should I activate the phone on Line 2 and deactivate. And activate on Line 1?

OR

Is it Okay if I just put my Line 1 Sim Card to new iPhone 6 without activating on Line 2 first?

Is the Verizon version of the iPhone 6 factory GSM unlocked from the factory? Will I be able to use an AT&T sim card on the phone, right out of the box?

Move from ATT to Verizon Edge on Apple.com

I want to move three smartphones numbers that are currently out of contract on Att to three iPhone 6s through as a preorder on Apple.com with in store pickup. Called Apple Store today and they said they can set up on Verizon Edge in store. The Apple order page does not appear to provide that option (i.e. 5s trial run). Do I just preorder three phones as new separate lines and when I go to pick them up at Apple get them moved to a family plan and the numbers ported?

Sorry if this is an old question....

I've been on the Edge plan for about 6 months and I want to Edge up early (this was the plan all along). I know I need to have paid off 50-60% (I swear it was 50% when I enrolled, but whatever) of my current device first, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that online. Is there a way or do I need to go into a Verizon store and take care of it?

I am not sure how much I should trust a phone rep but I called Verizon to ask about something else and decided to talk about my situation. Since I am eligible for upgrade, the rep said I can select upgrade and then select the edge plan. We shall see if that is actually how it works.

I'm not sure if this guy is still on but these have been really good answers and help. I just want to know if the phone will be able to pre-order for people who plan to purchase at full price and keep their unlimited plan.

If I do Verizon Edge.. When I want to trade in the phone after the 60%, does the phone have to be in good condition? Is it ok if the screen is broken?

I am on a family plan (Verizon) with my brother and his number is due for an upgrade and mine is not. Am i able to preorder tonight using his line, and pick up in store (my location, not his) next Friday while also transferring the device to my number? I just want to make sure before i drop 500 on this and it turns out his line is the only line it will work for. Either that or the apple guys will give me trouble picking it up since the phone is technically registered to my brothers line.

Currently on Verizon and don't have a Shared Family Plan or Edge.

iPhone 4 (Planning to Upgrade) - Unlimited
iPhone 4 (Planning to Upgrade) - Unlimited
iPhone 4s (Maybe will upgrade) - 2GB
iPhone 5c - 2GB
With Nationwide Talk & Text Share 700 plan.

I am not planning to stay keep my unlimited plans.

Can some explain what happens when I upgrade to a More Everything Plan and if Edge is worth it or not?

Doing the math: 4 iPhones = $160 monthly access + 8GB Shared data = $250/month.

For Edge I need to get 10GB or more but I probably won't use that much.

I have an off-contract phone (Verizon compatible MEID, used as an unlocked phone).

First question: Does that qualify for the $25 per line discount with the 10 GB More Everything plan? Or is that discount just for the Edge iPhone purchase plan? If so, it seems like the Edge plan with a 10 GB data plan is a better deal than just buying off-contract phones, if I'm reading the Verizon website right...

Second question: If I move this non-contract phone to Verizon service now, can I then add an additional iPhone 6/6S with the Edge plan to that service at 2 am CDT?

Last question: The Edge plan is only through Verizon, not through Apple.com?

The discount applies to non-contract phones, so it would work for that phone too on that 10 GB plan.

Thanks, it's just not showing up on their webpage to sign up to activate an existing device. Showing $40 for the one line plus $100 for the 10 GB data.

It will either be a feature you have to add online on your account for that line or you might need to call in to have it added.

Thanks, good to know. I will have to call in later to apply our corporate discount to the data portion anyway.

Thanks for doing this!

I have 3 lines with Verizon right now (family members).

My fiancée and I will need lines when we move in December.

Can I preorder a phone at full price but not activate it until December? When I do activate it, can I get the $25/mo price instead of the $40/mo price?

The order seems to have gone into the bit bucket when it was submitted, and there isn't any way to talk to someone at Verizon without the associated phone number (which I don't have).

Oh well, at least I've confirmed my MEID and Verizon SIM are valid.

Edit: So I got a pre-order in for an iPhone 6 via the Edge plan with 10 GB and should be able to add my existing iPhone to that plan next Friday.

Thanks again to C DM for the assistance and also imaketouchtheme for starting this thread!

If order more everything plan and select month to month, does that mean I can leave at anytime and not committed to a contract. IE... I could switch to the ALLSET plan the following month? Guessing it does, but want to make sure. I want to pay full price for the phone and not be on a contract and then switch to ALLSET Plan. Thanks!

Yes, what they are calling "month-to-month" on the pre-order website is actually their no-contract phone plans (i.e. full price). You can cancel anytime.

Currious if you looking at the Allset plans because their prepaid plans are cheaper?

Thanks for answering. Yes - that is why, as they seem quite a bit cheaper.

On PagesPlus now, so thought about them too, but Allset seems competitive.

Verizon ETF..

Just renewed my contract, but I still have the itch to try out t-mobile's network. If I try it out and find out that it works for me, if I want to cancel/pay ETF, that's all there is to it correct? I pay the $350 or whatever it is and then I'm good to go? I won't have to turn in the phone or anything like that?

Thanks

I pre-ordered a 6 and 6+. My confirmation email doesn't list the extra 1GB of data for each. Is there a way to make sure I will receive it? The space where this is listed on my friends confirmation email is just blank on mine.
