You didn't have to pay. You chose to get a 3G phone in an area without 3G. That's YOUR fault!

I did not get the invitation but just texted the number listed and said yes, and got the message back indicating i would be getting the free rollover, for my secondary line. my primary line being on Verizon of course!
why not!

meh, Nice gesture but it means nothing to those of us that already have 4,000+ rollover minutes. Give us rollover media plans or let us convert our unused minutes into discounts or something useful.

well seeing as I just dropped down to the 700 min plan yesterday, and lost over 11000 rollover minutes. The extra 1000 will help to rebuild my cushion.

How about Rollover Data instead?

I've been out of contract with AT&T for over a year now and am seriously considering making the switch to Verizon. I'm not a disgruntled customer, I don't think I've called customer service once since I got my 1st gen iPhone, and I've probably dropped a call every 4-6 months at most. But you know what would really get me to stay? Letting me upgrade to the iPhone 4 w/unlimited data for the same price as I'm paying now, you know, out of customer loyalty or something. Giving me 1000 extra rollover minutes isn't going to do me much good when I've racked up almost 3000 rollover minutes already (what can I say, sometimes I just don't feel like talking).

Better yet, screw the free rollover minutes, just let me pay for rollover data and texts. Reward me as a customer for not bogging down your network by allowing me to not worry about hitting a bandwidth cap in some arbitrary time frame.

Are you listening AT&T? Give us rollover data/text and you'll have no problem staying in the game.

Worked for me. :)

Screw that. How about include text messaging with data plan? That would keep customers

Your too nice.
Sent text two times. Got two responses! haha

Wondered when I would see that.

I also didn't get a text but texted yes and got the confirmation.

I called AT&T and the guy I spoke with had only heard about it from another customer who called earlier today asking about it. He took my info down, went ahead and gave me 1000 minutes on his own, and put some kind of block on my account in case it's a scam. He said if I get a charge on my account (i.e. if it's a scam) call and they'll take care of it.

Hopefully if this is legit I'll get another 1000 mins in a couple weeks :)

I don't see how anyone could confirm you actually got the minutes until they are credited to your account. What if it isn't AT&T but just someone trying to get cell phone numbers to send random texts to? I hate getting random texts about refinancing and bankruptcy and payday loans. Anyone know how to stop them from occurring? I'm already on the do not call list (lot of good it has done).

I texted them about 20 times and got 20 replies back. Can't wait to see if I get 20k minutes :D

so which is it.. news outlets are reporting lacklusters sales and they're questioning the amount actually bought online. So far suit and tie guys are predicting this launch a failure. I guess not everyone is sticking to the "We love Apple and will only report the good..." rule. I'm surprised WSJ are giving negative press. They're so far up Jobs' behind they look like a Jersey Shore girl with a fake tan on their nose.

Got off the phone with ATT, if you text this number it re-ups you for another 2 years automatically.

j/k :p

Can you receive SMS while you are talking on your ViPhone? Sorry I had to :)

Can you hear me laugh now?
Lol!

you must live in the projects since you're acting like picking up the phone will undoubtedly result in a dropped call. That's not to say that there aren't people who drop calls, but don't be such a drama queen about it. Take the minutes and quit acting like a stubborn 6 year old.

Chill out, man. Copping an attitude won't put more bars on your phone.
