Wow I have never gotten a location code this early. Normally a day or so.

There's no way that the iPhone 11/Pro is selling out before 7am PT. You can order at 7am when you wake up and still get a launch-day phone. I'd personally bet a LOT of money on that. Most of the XS models/configurations were available for launch day delivery well into the morning last year (8+ hours after preorders started) - at least on Verizon's site. I'm guessing the 11/pro will be in even less demand.

I wasn't concerned about total sell outs, but slipping dates. I know it isn't a massive deal, but I wanted to get it on launch day. Turned out, the phone/color/storage I wanted was the first one to slip with Verizon, so getting up early did pay off for getting it on launch day.

Mine says deliver by: 09/19/19
Probably a system error.
Don’t care if it arrives on or a few days after.

Yeah it will ship out that day with next day air

Thanks, I have both MyChoice and FedEx Delivery Manager. Last year, I believe it was FedEx who delivered. but when I ordered the Watch, it came UPS. Or vice versa.

I’ll have them hide it behind my big flower pot just to be safe. Never had anything stolen, but this is too much to leave in the open. I only need it left for a short time anyway. I’ll have my husband check during his lunch hour (he works close to home) or just grab it once he’s off.

No problem. Hopefully it’s there for him to snag on lunch for you. Just hopefully he doesn’t pop the seal before you :)

Midnight Green? They may have underestimated demand for that color and not produced as many in midnight green. But almost every other color/storage option of the 11/Pro/Max are all still available for launch-day delivery on Verizon's site as I type this at almost 1pm PT. :D

How did everyone cook?! I got my 256gb white Pro Max for 9/20 delivery! I believe according to the site, only the midnight greens in the Max have actually gone longer than release day...dud year confirmed?
I ordered a pro max 256 midnight green, delivery 9/20.

Yep, I ordered midnight green, 256.

Apple® iPhone® 11 Pro Max 64GB in Space Gray

Confirmation email at 5:11 AM PT. Really wish I didn't wake up so early after seeing they are still available but whatever. Hopefully Apple changes it back to midnight PT because 5 AM is a huge pain in the ass, even though I happen to have to get up by 6:30 AM anyways this morning. I felt like a crack addict waking up that early for a damn phone...

Decided to get the 256 Max Pro Green a little late. Shipping says 9/27. This is my first order from Verizon for an iPhone. My question is could I expect to receive it at all early or is Verizons date pretty accurate.

09/20. Midnight Green, 256GB ... the iPhone hype is dying fast. Pretty much can still get an iPhone for 9/20 delivery almost 12hrs after pre-lunch.

You are right. Most people will be unaffected. However, there will be some people who get upset when they go on vacation outside the US, bring their shiny new phone, and when they try to use a much cheaper data plan from another country, it won't work with that sim. And most of these people will not have gone ahead and added the Verizon international plan before they leave.

The higher Verizon plan includes 5 travel days a month. I have used it three times this year. Works great if you aren't taking any long trips.

I wonder if you could switch plans, before you leave, then switch back.

TBH I’m very excited for mine 11 Pro Max 512GB MG, even though I’m coming from an XS Max. Seems like only us die hards are buying lol. Surprised there’s not more activity on here. I can not wait to see this new color in hand! Can’t wait till next Friday!!

Outside of fewer people upgrading this year, I think more and more people on the forums are buying direct with Apple. The Apple Store thread is as robust and active as always. I was going to go through Apple myself this year, but then saw that I had a good amount of Device Dollars to use.

Alright so I pre ordered my iPhone 11 pro max this morning. Never received a confirmation email. Website said it's processed and the app says it's pending. I called what I thought was verizon (lady didn't say her name or end the call with "thank you for shopping verizon" etc.) apparently my order went through and she gave me my confirmation number. It's literally 16 digits long. Seems kinda sketchy to me. Anyone else have an insanely long confirmation number?!?

Sure it could happen- it happens every year with Verizon some delivery dates are bumped up.

Well people our next phase is (Sadly I preorder every year so I know their processes too well)

Delivery date will disappear on your order and then a charge/ authorization will be appear on your credit card.

Thinking that will happen Monday or Tuesday.

If your Verizon bill is due please pay it on time or Verizon will cancel your order. Lucky me mine is due on 9/17 sheesh ‍♀️

I was told by a Verizon CSR this afternoon that they were having an issue with one of their systems.

I called them because I didn't get a confirmation e-mail, nor did my account say anything about my order, and searching my order number come up with nothing. Nobody could find anything indication of my order, but I sent her screenshots of my order, and she e-mailed me back 30 minutes later saying my order was still good.

My order didn't show up until sometime tonight, when it appeared as "Pending" in my order history.

Ordered iPhone 11 128 gb for my girl and got the max pro 512 midnight green for me 9/20 eta

I woke up at 5AM to order. I had my laptop near my bed so I started on that, but every time i tried to submit the order, I would get an error. I tried both Paypal and CC and it kept lagging and taking about 10 seconds and then it would spit out one of several errors. Eventually I got one saying I tried too many times and to wait awhile.

I then grabbed my phone and tried the Verizon app. No matter what I tried, it kept saying my line wasn't eligible for an upgrade.

Lastly, I used their mobile site on my phone and flew through the process. I used Apple Pay and my payment went through in about 1 second and I got my email confirmation.
I was having the same problems on the site bring up errors than I went to the app and had no problems

That’s exactly why I went with Verizon lol. And I forgot to use them in a mad dash to check out. I’ll have to call them this week about it.

I have a XS Max and wasn’t going to upgrade, like a lot of people here I had upgraded every year since I can recall. However I use the device payment plan. So I did some thinking that if I wait another 12 months for the 2020 release I am still paying the 52.00 a month for the XS Max so why not just get the newest phone and keep making the 52.00 payment on the new device and then next year either buy it out and sell it to make a little profit/pay off balance. Obviously paying the 52.00 a month for the next 12 months would essentially pay off the device, but just to roll it into the 2020 phone almost seems like a wash to some degree.

Am I off base with this and just convinced myself of this rational?

It’s like leasing a car / Ive upgraded every year since the 4s.

Each year I say it’s my last yearly upgrade but I always end up upgrading.

Maybe when the 2020 iPhone is released ?

I do the same thing, but no, it's not rational. You can keep the phone for 24 months and pay $52/mo x 24 months = ~$1250. However at the end of 2 years, your device has a resale value of let's say ~$400 (probably a little less on trade in, maybe a little more on the open market such as Swappa/eBay). So if you subtract that $400 from your $1250, you paid $850 for 2 years of phone usage = $425/year. If you upgrade every year, you are paying $625/year to always be using the latest model. This doesn't count "activation" fees, new cases, taxes required when purchasing the new model (i.e. CA requires paying the FULL 7.75% tax upfront on the entire retail price of the phone even when doing the device payment plan), etc. These extra costs can add up to quite a lot as well.

I still upgrade just about every year myself, but yes, it's definitely more costly to upgrade annually vs. using the phone for 2 years and selling it/trading it in at that point.
