So I have been quiet through this whole process but what a disaster! So I woke up and pre ordered on 9/13 as soon as it went live the the 9/19 ship date! Yay exciting I know! Downfall paid with Apple Pay and so they canceled my order for a fraud alert and never told me they reordered it and had an October 9th ship date. Called talked to so many people and they put in a jump the line form and assured me I’d get it today. PST few days no updates kept calling finally they said it wasn’t going to happen but offered to pay my upgrade fee. Whatever big whoop! So today frustrated I happened to stop in a local store and see if they had any after I got to work and they didn’t and just as I was leaving she said let me go look we just got a second truck and low and behold they had one 64gb IPhone 11 Pro Max midnight Green!!!! So excited now I have my phone all is good in the world again!
 
So just before literal take-off to fly home, I got a text from FedEx with shipping information for a delivery. I just landed (I’m still on the plane , lol) and checked the notification. My 11 Pro Max has been picked up from Clovis, CA with a Tuesday 9/24 by 8pm delivery!

I fly again on Sunday, so now I’m going to have to wait until next Friday because that’s when I’ll be back home, but at least I know it’s on it’s way.

Guess I’ll head to the Apple store tomorrow morning and check out new iPhones, some cases, the Watches, and just try to patiently wait out the week.

Also have to put, Mr Naturalstar on notice to not let anything happen to my phone while I’m away!

So TIL, Verizon needs to reinstate whatever older system they have hanging around in the background. Works better than the mess they are using now.
 
Seems verizon had quite the hiccup this year. 7 of us in our IT Department ordered the new phone thanks to our companies great device reimbursement program, 2 got delayed delivery, 1 fraud alert, 1 apple pay denial the 3 of us that got our phones on time all billed to the acct since it was an option this year....it like they didnt realize the iphone was gonna be a hot item. Some unhappy folks in my office today. Luckily all 4 were able to hit up the local corporate store and get phones they wanted on release day

Does anyone know if I can go Verizon store and get the phone to replace the one is on the way to my house ? It is so stupid Verizon restrict UPS to let customer hold the package at the hub to pick up. I can't wait till Monday and then I have to take half day off to wait for the phone.

pre-ordered two in the late morning on 9/13, one silver 256 pro and one midnight green 256 pro, the silver one delivered this morning as expected, the midnight green will deliver next Friday the 27th, went to the local Verizon store right before they open today, got my hand on one and unfortunately they can't sell it to me, because when they type in my phone number it showed I have an online order on the way...... that sucks!!

If it has already shipped, they can’t do anything until you have it hand to do a return.

I went through this last year with the AW4. Had a 5 week shipping delay, went to Apple and found the same Watch to purchase in store, went to cancel the Verizon order and suddenly that Watch shipped 3 weeks early and they were already billing me for it. I had a hard time getting that sorted with Verizon. I learned that once you can no longer cancel online and definitely once the order has shipped, your line will be tied up at that point.
 
I received mine this AM,called the verizon stores and no luck MG pro max...anyone know if they will get phones tomorrow?
 
UPDATE: (in the event anyone cares). Called Vz at 8am this morning--clueless CS rep; her supervisor did not seem all that helpful either. She said, oh yeah, yours is still processing, we can ship it out and you'll get it in a few days. Obviously I don't believe that for sh*t, b/c they've been telling me that it will ship on time for a week now. Told her I wasn't getting off the phone until I had a phone. I suggested they transfer the order to a store pick up--can't do that. I then suggested I just go to a store and get one--she says no problem I'll cancel your order; I'm like ummm, lets make sure there's stock available in a local store--ok; I'm like, well, do you want to do that? Oh yes, sure, let me do that. Comes back on the line says there are four 11 Pro 256GB SG in a store nearby. I'm like, great, do you want to ask them to hold one for me, I'll go right now--oh, yeah, ok; at which point she calls the store, and drops me without any preface on an unsuspecting sales rep at the store and hangs up. WONDERFUL!

Store rep is really nice, tells me he can't hold anything for me, he'll lose his job, but come in and get it, you'll have to get your online/phone order cancelled first. Arghh! Also says, oh I see you charged this to your corp account, that's the hold up, they're verifying or held it up for a fraud-check. He says, I can see that in the system, I guess no one looked. Yeah, I guess the roughly 15 different people I've spoken to over the last week couldn't figure that out!

Anyways, get to the store. While driving, call Vz to cancel phone order. CS Rep is trying to help but politely refuses to transfer me to a supervisor. Ultimately says I need to speak to tele-sales and transfers me there. After a hold turns out that's not business tele-sales but just consumer tele-sales, get transferred to business tele-sales where I get the downright rudest rep I've ever spoken to, who basically refuses to talk to me and transfers me to customer service. By now I'm at the store, I've explained the situation and the super-nice sales people there are genuinely trying to help. They have a phone, but they need my current order cancelled before they can run the order in store. I meanwhile make sure that they won't run into any more roadblocks along the way. Customer services comes on the phone, and ultimately tells me I need to speak to business customer service--KILL ME! Another 20 or so minute wait, the call is now about an hour long, I get to bus cust service, who speaks to me and the in store rep and proceeds to try to cancel the original phone order. This turns out, too, is no easy task. She has to get numerous approvals from her supervisors and from other departments. While she is still waiting on approval to cancel, the in store people looking at their tablet say that the order has been canceled and they can now process the new order in store. They run the order, and effectively turn off the sim on my current phone thus disconnecting me from the cust service rep who is still 'cancelling' my order, by scanning the bar codes on the new phone's box.

Ultimately I walk out of the store with a new phone. Again, store folks were super nice! Thanks to them. Every single person I spoke to on the phone or chatted with online in our business portal was a) clueless and would b) give me incorrect, and often contradictory from the same person, information.

I cannot wait until next year 😡🍻
Yes same thing has been happening to me, and unfortunately I am out of town for the weekend, trying to facilitate getting my phone traced that no one seems to be able to do! Wish there were verizon stores where I am this weekend or apple but there are not sadly... and sure by the time I get home Monday, they’ll all be sold out, thanks to Verizon being completely incompetent... never again with them... ever..
 
Late to the party, but loving my 11 Pro Max! Ended up going with a 512GB model... never thought I’d have more storage in my phone than my MacBook Pro but here we are.
Hope everyone is enjoying their phones! See you all next year :)

Guys, just got home and a Fedex box waiting for me. Before I left for work this morning, I printed the signature release form, signed it and taped it to my front door. Im so glad I come to this forum and every year I learn something. Thank you guys for sharing all your experiences because of that I had a very smooth Iphone delivery today. I will def come back next yr. Btw, who else is unboxing their Iphones on youtube? share it. Would love to see your reactions. ;)
Untilllll, verizon screws up your order-out of your control! LOL.... just sayin’ but enjoy that camera!!!!
 
So today was fun. Nothing shipped because my phone was on hold waiting for a Nike series 5 to be available and ship together. So I go to a store by my job they received no 11 pro max phones. So I decide to call customer service to see if they can just ship the phone beforehand.

No can do and they would need to cancel the order and redo another one. So I decide to call a few more Verizon stores and finally while I’m on the phone with the soho Verizon store they had just received another shipment. Which happened to have a SG 11 Pro Max 256gb. So after 2 hours on the phone with customer service and checking different stores I was able to get a phone.

Coming from T-mobile the reception and coverage is night and day but customer service wait times are definitely way longer.

So who out of everyone who got theirs today like myself, think this thing is oddly snappy and smooth? I know it wasn't supposed to be much of a speed boost, but it feels like butter. I feel like typing is smoother. Anyone else? Wide angle is amazing.

Yes! I’m extremely impressed with this phone and how fast it is. Like not a minor different. A MAJOR difference. Went from an X to the Pro Max and I’m just amazed at this phone
 
I spent 2 hours on the phone to talk with a rep asking her to put in request to remove restriction for UPS to hold the package at the hub. She is surprise and told me Verizon did not put any restriction for UPS to do that way. Now i have to take half day off work on Monday to wait for the phone . What a frustrating day !
 
I didn't preorder, I wasn't really planning on getting an iPhone 11, actually. However, the MG caught my eye from the very beginning, so I had to stop by a nearby carrier store (US Cellular) store. I immediately called my Verizon Store (official, not a reseller) and they told me they had one 64GB MG 11 Pro in stock at around 1 PM. I made my way there, fast. Picked it up. They said that they got a shipment about an hour prior to me grabbing the last MG 64GB Pro.

I worked from home on Friday so that I would there when Fedex delivered. Everything I had received said signature required but when Fedex came the guy said I didn’t have to sign and the email confirmation I got back said no signature required. I wonder why I didn’t have to sign since I had signed anything.

When I saw on the tracking page that my phone had been delivered to my apt, I noticed that it also said no signature required. This is a first in my years of pre-ordering, that it did not require a signature; very weird for sure. This has been a weird pre-order for a lot of people on Verizon. I'm thankful that mine went smoothly.
 
Verizon seems to have gotten "Fraud Alert" trigger happy this year. I pre-ordered through Sam's Club in Iowa and my daughter who is on my plan pre-ordered with Verizon in Minnesota. No communications from Verizon until I went in to pick up my pre-Order in Iowa and 2+ hours later we finally get transferred to the Verizon Fraud department because I pre-ordered a phone in Iowa and in Minnesota. Strange...we have done this multiple times without issue. Kudus to the Sam's Club employee who stuck with it to the end so I could walk out with my phone and $200 Sam's Club gift card. Now praying when my daughter does pick up on her phone on 9/27 we don't experience the same nightmare!

Verizon did a good job in this launch with any massive high demand product things happen ~every carriers order thread including Apples had a hiccup or two.

Next year do not use Apple Pay is the overall learning for this year. Next year I will make sure to post this😟

Finally 11 Pro MG 256 in transit and delivery Monday. Only two more days of my partner lording it over me with his IPhone 11 Prox Max Gold. The pictures are stunning, low light, wide, etc.-STUNNING. Titanium Watch (from Apple) arrived on schedule though very late in day. UPS: “we have a lot of extra trucks on because of Apple launch, just because one delivery was already made to your building doesn’t mean we are done for day, be patient.” Building front desk: “is there a new phone out or something people keeping frantically checking with us to see if UPS and Fedex have come yet?”
 
Ordered 5 Pro's on the 13th at 7am Central. Fraud alerts for all. One even canceled and will arrive on the 27th. No idea why all the fraud alerts this year! Received 3 on the 20th with 1 shipping later than expected and one to be delivered on the 27th. :rolleyes::mad::oops::D

PS. I did find out if you order and accessory with the phones you can have the phone and that accessory applied to your bill which will help bypass the fraud BS.

Also, received my phone with Dual Sims and the 2nd eSIM DID NOT WORK. Had to go into the store to get it working. No idea why Verizon didn't have this right when it shipped.:mad::mad::mad:
